Today we discover one of just 9 Roger Dubuis Hommage Perpetual Calendar Minute Repeater in Rose Gold.
The talented watchmaker only went independent in his 50's actually. The brand was successful but much of the financial reward was pocketed by his business partner Carlos Diaz, who grew the manufacture until the 2008 financial crisis brought down the market. Today RD makes very modern types of watches under the Richemont group umbrella.
What we have here is an early model paying homage, literally, to classic Geneva watchmaking. From the base Lemania caliber, the watchmaker handmade a definitive attractive timepiece.

I never understood the interest of making a MANUAL perpetual calendar! Is it not too risky?!! Except if it s easy to reset in the 2 directions (like h moser mvt)

Hi Uptick, do we see some anti reflective coating on the glass ? Does it seems scratched or is it just fingerprints especially on the borders ?
