To abuse someone in this way (God forbid), one has to be callous and devoid of empathy.
Because of the lack of empathy they have, they distance themselves from the crimes/sins and feel that they’ve done nothing wrong. These factors along with others, is how they often act in the most audacious of ways that normal people will be aghast at. Unfortunately, just a normal day for these abusers though!
