  • From Hamburg Staatsoper. Sorry for the late start at the beginning! Hope you enjoy!
I liked the different perspective from the stage that audiences don't normally get to see. Up close to the drama!!
    Conducted by Alexander Joel

I love operas with happy endings, just like this one!

Voce Donitzettiana. Needs more gravitas, core , squillo, timbre. But good fight against anyway👍

It's so hard to NOT oversing this aria in some of the middle range phrases, especially after the orchestra comes in strong at the halfway point. My G is always sore and tired by the time I get to it. Then again it would be strange if I could comfortably sing this at 22 yrs old

You probably shouldn’t be singing this aria until you are probably at least 45, unless you are a dramatic baritone!!

Very metallic and strong voice. I've been getting more and more into his singing lately

…. I’m just going to say it. I almost want to stop singing altogether. That is how amazing this sounds😢.

Sheesh, when I heard the high G in your video about doing something difficult and posting on social media, I was hoping and waiting for the full version of the aria. Sounds great!

What a gem! And so well sung - reminds me of Robert Merrill. Next stop: Rance! 🤠

Well, what do you call a low, lazy tenor? A baritone, of course!

  • @ΚωνσταντίνοςΚοκολογιαννάκης

Left out the low g. Why?

This is how much my kind friend recorded. Too bad because it was really good!!! One of my only low Gs I feel 100%.

The voice is lean snd stripped. No velvet in the tone. Compare Cornell MacNeil’s titanic version of the aria in his 60’s. Especially compare the high G.

While I haven't heard Lucas in person I highly doubt there is a lack of velvet in the house. A good voice will often sound a little snarly up close but dark in the theatre.
