- Wildcat's Revenge is Hersheypark's new RMC Hybrid roller coaster that is replacing Wildcat in 2023. This is one of the most highly anticipated coasters coming next year, and there's plenty of excitement to go around about the ride. However, this roller coaster may mean a lot more in bigger picture in terms of where Hersheypark ranks on a global scale for their roller coaster lineup. Cedar Point is commonly thought to be the best park for roller coasters in America, but could Hershey challenge that with their shiny new RMC? Today, I give my early analysis for that question and the roller coaster itself!

Wildcats Revenge will probably be the number 2 ride in the park for both of those groups. Incredible fit
Almost everyone we have talked to prefers Wildcat's Revenge over Skyrush. Skyrush has its following but the percent of people preferring it are pretty slim among the average park goer. Most average park goers prefer Candymonium to Skyrush. Skyrush is more of an enthusiast coaster. Skyrush and Wildcat's Revenge are both 10/10 rides IMO but I slightly prefer the RMC.
I don’t know if it will be better than Cedar Point, but I do know that Hersheypark will have a perfect ride line up

Here are my 2 cents. I think it’ll be pretty neck and neck between CP and HP come next year in terms of coaster collection. However once Dragster reopens or whatever happens CP does to it I think CP will take the cake.
I agree however it should be interesting to see what Hershey does after wildcats revenge maybe a B&M dive or wing or maybe another launch coaster I think CP is definitely the better park but Hershey is slowly closing that gap 😊

Wildcat's Revenge is actually full of ejector airtime and a lot of enthusiast will have it number one in the park ,Hersey Park has a great line up and is definitely a top park but it needs a Giga to be at the same level as Cedar Point
As my home park, I think they could use a junior vekoma coaster, or just another mid-size family coaster. But other than that ya, I think they are stacked. Maybe replace the flume with b&m dive? but idk how they would do that with the space. Maybe just replace that in general with a coaster. But ya, its pretty much perfect

I think Hershey is equivalent to Cedar Point. I was blown away by Wildcat's Revenge. Skyrush is running AMAZING too. Fahrenheit and Storm Runner are fantastic. Love Great Bear. Comet is really great too. Candymonium was petty boring for me though but still good. I would love to see a great Gravity Group woodie at Hershey park. that would be so amazing.

I think it only makes Hershey a better park but better than cedar point? Steel vengeance,maverick, millennium force I mean I’m excited for wildcats revenge also but I think cedar point will still be king like the channel keep posting

I think Hershey might be my second favorite park after King's Island. I am not sure why Cedar Point is not higher on my list. I think maybe I've just been there too many times, or maybe I just prefer the types of coasters King's Island and Hershey have?
King's Island is easier to have fun at because of its circle layout and going to any ride you might fancy is easy to get to.
If I want/need to ride a less intense ride like gatekeeper after marathoning SteVe it's a 20ish minute walk.

I’d say that hershey either ties or wins by a couple of points now with this hybrid. I mean, they still have to add either a wing coaster or a giga to really take it easily from cedar point. As long as Hershey keeps adding, they will widen the gap against them. That’s my take

Agreed on Sky Rush. My second favorite Hyper is Super Man: The Ride.
Their recent shedding of shows is keeping me away. The shows in the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre were the reason I drove from Cleveland to Hersheypark instead of going to nearby Cedar Point. I get that COVID killed them but they should be back, Hersheypark has ceded this portion of the business to Cedar Point. Hersheypark used to have the best shows except for Disney. Now they have the tired sea lion show, the Sweet Notes band, the Coaster Crew, and a bunch of candy character meet and greets. In their prime, they had amazing Dance, Dance Dance shows that rivaled Broadway shows and got you out of the summer heat for 30 minutes. Families with elderly members and small children are what fill hotels and upscale eateries. Coaster warriors don't spend any dough in the Chocolate Spa. It's especially sad since PA is a hotbed of show production with Carnegie Mellon Drama in Pittsburgh and Tait Towers in nearby Lititz.
Hershey still doesn’t have a Giga so I don’t think it dethrones Cedar Point quite yet, but it’s definitely a top 5 park if not top 3
I have to admit I'm just flat out burned out on CP. I used to go every single year religiously and make a whole trip out of it....I've given myself a little break and traveled elsewhere. The boardwalk is a great /needed addition...and so is the wildmouse...but it's gonna take a bit more to get me back there...looking at youuuuuu TTD👀👀 Anyways as far as lineups go it's really hard to say bc depending on what CP does with TTD they could be right back up there. HP has always had a worldclass lineup even without the RMC...I would say the ONLY thing CP has going for it that HP doesn't is CP's "filler" coasters are like...B&M's lol I mean sure they have Corkscrew and CC Mineride but other than that they are pretty stacked and don't have ur typical Boomerangs and all that. Kinda just boils down to preference. I DO love HP for that hydraulic launch thoooo....those r becoming a dying breed🎵🎶

Nice video. RMC Wildcat definitely takes Hershey Park up another level! Loved HP this past year the park was running beautifuly and i AGREE SkyRush is probably my #1 (along w/X-2, i-305, SteVe, Tatsu That's my top 5) BUT that's we we stop agreeing. Hershey Parks top end is much weaker than Cedar Points!!! Candymonium is one of B&M's worst, and definitely there most boring Hyper, I'll take Magnum XL any day! Great Bear is not as intense or as powerful as Raptor, plus Raptor Visually is still stunning! Maverick kills Fahrenheit, it's not even close! Hershey Park HAS NO GIGA OR STRATA COASTER!! And we all would rather have the combination of Gatekeeper and Valravan then have Storm Runner and then Steel Vengeance obviously is still arguably one of the top 2 coasters on the planet And definitely a much better RMC than Wildcats Revenge will be so It's really not as close as it seems. I will say the family rides at Hershey Park are better but CP is getting that new Boardwalk expansion with a spinning WildMouse so that's a step up for CP in that department. Also Hershey Park has MUCH BETTER food, and better hospitality, and i love the overall theme to Hershey Park! It is almost A Disney Level atmosphere with the Hersheys chocolate and Different Candy colors and theming so well done in different ways throughout the park. I love Hershey Park and they have now definitely moved up into the ULTRA ELITE COASTER/AMUSEMENT PARK TIER! A very small group consisting of just Cedar Point, Magic Mountain, and Kings Island in the US So salute to Hershey Park for making another huge step up, I can't wait to visit in 2023

The FAR MAJORITY of Coaster Critics will agree that CP is better Nobody thinks Hershey Park has a better lineup that's Hilarious but it's your Opinion and that's good Loyalty is rare nowadays.... 😂 Fyi even Hershey Park enthusiast will tell you CP coaster lineup is better than HP but at the end of the day only thing that counts is what YOU think so that's all good. AND I personally don't HATE Candymonium for no reason.....ITS BORING AF AND ITS WEAK Magnum is old and a little rough but much, much more airtime and intensity for me
@@NickyD I would respect it if you said Fahrenheit is YOUR FAVORITE or you prefer it to Maverick But the way you try to say it like it's a fact Is ridiculously absurd and really The fact that you said Fahrenheit is better then MAVERICK tells us all we need to know about you!!!! Maverick is a top 10 Coaster EVERY SINGLE YEAR in EVERY Major Coaster rating. Whether it's the Golden Tickets or ACE or USA Today and Fahrenheit is a cool coaster but it's not even close to the level of Maverick 💯 You are just bias to your home park which is common but makes you sound and look closed minded, non-travled, and immature.

I have so much to say about this! So my favorite part of skyrush is the lift and drop but it sounds as if the steepness will be the same and that's the sweet spot. Same number of coasters at great adventure, my other home, and hp lineup is better. I'm disappointed there is no true wave turn or twist and shout, both on LRod, but inversions and doubles are great.
The two parks will be close. What I miss at Hershey is Maverick (my overall #2) and Gatekeeper. While at CP, I really miss Skyrush (my overall #1), Fahrenheit, and Candymonium. No one can say either park has a cookie-cutter lineup. What's especially impressive at Hersheypark is the stellar lineup on a relatively small plot of land. With WR added, Hersheypark gives PA/NJ residents less of a reason to go to CP, especially sans TTD.
As far as Wildcat's Revenge in particular, I'm impressed by it, being a less-is-more guy (while I love Steel Vengeance, I find it a bit overwrought and repetitive, at least after the MCB). While WR certainly lacks SV's volume of elements, I hope it makes up for it in the intensity department. It seems like a lot of thought went into WR, not only in the layout but the dual station. Given how busy Hersheypark has been the last several years, they're going to need to maximize capacity (hopefully this also draws crowds away from Fahrenheit, which I dearly love). Overall, Hersheypark really needs to optimize its operations.
I won’t quite say better than Cedar Point for Hershey, but I’d say right up there, very close. However, I do think that if HersheyPark were to get a giga, then yes, they’d have a better coaster lineup than Cedar Point, and I do sincerely think that.
i think they need a good lsm multi launch to be the best hower i think they are tied with a couple parks
HP has a long way to fill CP shoes they don’t have the height and the power CP has. SV alone shits on anything they HP has in there line up and ect. Wild Cats revenge looks ok but it’s definitely a mid tear RMC. HP shouldn’t be compared to SFMM or CP as coaster lineup ups are concerned.
Your opinion is probably in the majority. I would argue that Skyrush shits on anything at CP except Maverick, which is a close #2 for me. I definitely prefer intensity to volume.
HP isn’t even ahead of KI yet in my opinion.

Wildcats Revenge looks like a mid tier RMC to me, which is a great coaster just not in the same league as Steel Vengance. Using that assumption, Cedar Point is still the top coaster park in the country as Maverick and Steel Vengeance are the 2 best coasters in the combined lineup. Followed by Sky Rush, Wild Cat revenge and Millenium Force at #5. This would give CP 3 of the top 5 coasters and spots #1 and #2 for the clear W. Hershey's lineup is probably deeper but CP has 2 world-class coasters within a few 100 yards of one another and that is tough to beat.
This is not close to the best lineup in the world. Maybe bottom of the top 10 but that's a stretch. A lot of people think Hershey Park just has about 4 good rides.

I actually agree with the assesment that this will give Hersheypark a better coaster lineup than Cedar Point. While Steel Vengence is probably the best coaster between the 2 parks, Hershey is better in pretty much every way once you're past that. I will admit though, a lot of this comes from the fact that Millenium Force really let me down after they slowed the lift (see El Toro Ryan's video on Millenium Force). That thing isn't even a top 100 coaster anymore, and it's not that I've more than doubbled my coaster cout since 2018, when I had last ridden Millenium Force before my trip a few weeks ago.
Although CP has a great coaster line up that is about all it has going for it. I spent a week there last summer and I was very unimpressed with it as a park. Food was better but still meh and half the stands were not open. No ac or shade anywhere. No drinking fountains and the bathrooms gross. Hershey is much better on all those fronts. Their coasters are all top notch as well. Even their less impressive ones are fun.
Its definitely in the convo lineup wise, but PARKwise I dont think its in the top 3 for coasters. Just because of inconsistent ops on every ride but candymonium, narrow horribly congested walkways, and poor park layout with so many chokepoints and dead ends
Hersheypark needs a new gen flume and raft ride; like the flume that Sea World San Antonio is getting and raft ride like Sea World Orlando or Silver Dollar City.
