Two things to keep in mind:
Both the Stealth and the Razorback are derivative of the ML. Dime famously played an ML first, so his ideas for shapes came directly from Dean’s IP.
The second is that the motions for trademark were signed when Vinnie was still the executor of Dime’s estate. One could postulate that this only became a thing after Vinnie’s passing, and someone else was given control of the estate. Someone that didn’t have the streams of income that Vinnie had, and likely needs to make money on the estate.
A lot of folks have used Vinnie’s passing as a catalyst to start making money on the Pantera name again.
You know, it doesn't get much lower then trying to cheat Dime.

I really think Solar should sign a deal with the Dime estate. I know the X series is a bit of an homage, but since Ola is a huge fan and he is not tied to another major corporation like Zakk Wylde and Schecter, Ola could carry on Dime's legacy the best.

I hope that whatever company eventually makes new dime guitars makes them nice and have left handed models. It is sooo hard to find a left handed dime from hell, i have a 79ML dean lefty and that was tough to find
I think Dean guitars filing the trademark 2 years after his death says everything we need to know. They got greedy and it's going to be their downfall. Also I'd love to spend a day in Ola's guitar room.🤤
They haven't even been the same since Dean left the company...no one really plays them anymore that I've seen out there.

Recently acquired a 2005 Far Beyond ML Artist Ed. The one that was the first “tribute” after his death . I haven’t seen few to none of that exact model on the used market
Dean likes to steal shapes from their former endorsed artists.
Rusty Cooley left Dean for Ormsby and they still made guitars using his shape, renaming the shape "Exile"
Dave Mustaine left Dean for Gibson and they still made guitars using his shapes, they renamed the VMNT shape "Vengence" and they still use the Zero name for his Zero explorer shaped guitars
While his zero explorer was unique to him, his vmnt guitars are jackson king v styled guitars. If anything it's mostly jackson.
@@peepongdingdong9208 definitely. I can notice the tiny differences in the shapes but these shapes are so synonymous with Dave that nobody seems to really give a fuck lol.
Still, it's a design that he brought to Dean to be used on his signature model, it's a dick move to start making them again as non signatures

Do you happen to know why some USA Dean dime guitars say “DIME” vertically on the headstock and some don’t? I can’t seem to figure out why some do and some don’t

now i know why there a next to no dean guitars sold any longer in shermany. i got maybe one of the last dean v select classic 7 strings a couple years ago and now tried to get an ml version of it. no chance at all. not even on reverb theyre listed. says it all. shouldve bought the eric peterson z too whne it was available...damnit effin awesomest guitars ever. the holy trinity of metal coolness
Love my Dimebag Dean guitars, it's a part of Dimes legacy, we saw his sketches, and his visions became reality post death, BUT my love of Dean guitars is damaged now, stealing from him is about as low as you can go. They need to settle it and move on and try and repair their reputation while they have any left. Stealing designs from Gibson, stealing designs and money from a dead endorsee that had so much love for this brand STINKS! Give it up and let the Dime estate move on.
Evan Rubinson seemingly did his best to ruin the company. Pam is trying to course correct but so much damage has already been done. "Authentic" Gibson can punt off as well. I've owned and played several Dean guitars and they've all been fantastic. It's very sad.
This is true, dude used it as his checkbook and pissed on everyone and everything and now dean may go under before gibson. I hope dean makes a comeback but Gibson (and trogly's guitar show) can go fuck themselves for not only shittily reissuing neat niche models but also artificially raising the prices of used/vintage models.

I think at this point the ability for anyone to make money off of Dimebag likeness, guitar specs, should be completely frozen, or ALL proceeds donated to like the Dime Ride charity or some non profit.
