Jacksonville boasts more than one nightlife hub; visitors can bar hop in the cool ocean breezes or discover new favorites in Downtown Jacksonville. The local breweries are as eclectic as this City, ranging from beachy breweries to those brewing in historical buildings. Sundown in Jacksonville sheds light on entertainment options as diverse as the local landscape.
Not much of a night life.......empty streets and sidewalks. Only a small group of people in front of a few food trucks. Used to live in JAX a long time ago, not much has changed.

Because Jacksonville is Huge lol people are spread out everywhere plus its north Florida it's not as populated as central/south ...I'd like it better with less people & traffic tbh
Alot has changed its just jacksonville don't have that tourism attraction like the rest of the Florida cities have.... I'm from Jacksonville haven't been in 6 years tho

Jacksonville was a party town back in the days of the landing,the big apple,Jims place,Stricklands,Regency Mall,The Avenues etc etc .I had so much fun visiting and partying in J.Ville at that time,There was no shootings,the peoples were respectful towards one another,the women ohhhh the women were so fine,i wish i could go back to the 90s and redo it all over again.
Yeah 2003-2006 Jacksonville was my home...I hit Jim's Place on Fridays and I bounced at the Silverfox...Great times
I used to live in jax back in 06 - 08 jims place was a classic I worked at rain plush leopard lounge duval was lit back in the day
Most def. Days of aqua, pure and plush then the fox and mascaras and 24/7 casino's on the corner's.

jacksonville streets are very clean because there is hardly anyone there to litter them. The winter weather is mild which is a plus but its far too boring looking to ever consider to move there.
We live here. Travel the world. Choose to live here. This is the worst depiction of Jacksonville I’ve seen in my life. Maybe if your a homeless person that wandered onto that side walk after eating a lb of mushrooms … this is the jamb. Lol. Literally more things that are worth doing

In 3 years I’m mind blown at how nice jax is for people. Places and diversity.

Born Jax raised in Jax. Nightlife...that's hilarious. Its a GREAT CITY in many ways,tho nightlife aint one of them,lol. And it's 900 sq miles so largest city in the world landwise. And super sticky hot weather. Don't get me started on the Jaguars. Jk, I do miss Jax especially bc now I live in freezing Milwaukee. Beer,cheese,snow:-)

Those young ladies at 30:00 were getting a lot of attention. I want to make a video like this. My little town in FL makes it hard to do. At 9PM they roll up the sidewalks so no one can steal them.

@@ethanmorris2760 KC is better. I love Jacksonville because I’m from there. But really there’s not much to do. Economically there’s not too many opportunities in Jax either. Everything is spaced out far away. As much as I want to return to Florida. Deep down I know financially it’ll be a horrible decision. Kansas City has been amazing to me. Money is here. Strong economic options and educational advancements too. Florida has a long way to go. Jacksonville especially has a longer way to go.

What time at night was this? I'm loving the idea of Jacksonville. I'm from Miami which is cool but I'm a family man now and want a more chill/affordable lifestyle. Also looking at Tallahassee but not sure I want to be THAT bored.
Truthfully, most cities downtown at night look like this. Unless it's NY, LV, NO, or Miami.

There are north and south river walks. The Southbank is under heavy construction with a lot of it closed for private property now

Downtown used to be so cool in the 2000's. My favorite spot was Thee Imperial in the early 2000's for hardcore music shows, after that I loved The Pearl in Springfield and TSI downtown and The Metro in Murray Hill... and Incahoots, and Park Place. Those used to be my spots! I'm pretty sure all of them are closed except Incahoots and maybe Park Place.
When was The River Walk area built I didn't remember it being this many miles.
@petunia picklebutt I know its crazy to think that was 20 years ago. I stopped partying in the beginning of 2010 when I was 22, I was over-it. I left Jacksonville, Florida all together in 2016 and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri which is amazing because this is a huge, extremely developed city. Nonetheless, memories will always be fond memories. Enjoy yourself out there & make the best of every moment.

The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring, I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself.

I am 65 years old and I have lived here all my life, and this once nice city has turned into a crime ridden hell hole with raising taxes every chance they get spending millions on downtown where no one wants to go. In fact go downtown and every thing is closed because it merely a office park with criminals and homeless people roaming the streets. there is nothing there on the North bank and South bank I dont know because avoid Downtown all together. Residental areas also have also turned into hell holes with crime with section 8 housing all over the city with low income Blacks , some on welfare . some dealing drugs , prositution and shoot outs are common. Very sad indeed. DONT MOVE HERE.

def no beachy vibes unless you live near the beach (which is very lovely )there are pretty safe neighborhoods too but crime is pretty bad so safer is a better word its not a shithole but it can be boring perfect tho if you want a laid back quiet and slow paced living
also the palm trees that grow everywhere are charming and inviting i love that, there is this nice area called town center too that has a lot high end and other shops its pretty nice to walk around in and has so many nice cafes
