- Executioner Hermann of Rattay asked me to sabotage a rival executioner's... executions. I did as he asked.

That was a fun quest. Mostly because I love helping my buddy Hermann the Executioner out.
I loved this quest because I nicked all of the shopkeeper's keys as they walked up to the site. That ended up being a very profitable night for Henry.
1:21 "FREEEEDOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!"
sabotaged all, but couldnt watch the quest ending because I gave a try to the rattay torney and actually win... was my first winning. Now I can rest in peace...
Lol torny is easy lol just smack them too the wall and its gameover for them 🤣 😂
I like how they heckle you for failing to stab someone in one fell swoop.
Damn imagine if modern day death row imates had public executions like this
Also probably the one of the funniest cutscenes in the game.
My cutscene glitched on PS4 so I have to watch it here lol
Literally just happened to me so stupid
Me too
Same, literally just happened to me too
I'm only here because my game shit on the cutscene and I couldn't see it. Fuck's sake. Top tier trolling, this quest.
Exact reason I'm here, over a year later still broken, nice job WH.
Thanks. I missed the executions because I was locked in the monastery.
L?
Lol i was busy besieging Talmberg
lol
I feel sorry for the executioner, but come on you just don't steal someones bread from them in their own homestead,
that's what I told myself. As a professional courtesy, he should've refused the job
Ah feel quite houngry
I missed the execution but I won the Rattay Tourney and I won a wager with Peshek
Oh hermann you'll regret having a favour on me. This me that routinely steals from all armorsmith, swordsmith, and traders in rattay. The one that killed an entire tower full of sleeping guard, me who regularly steal every golden cross, goblets and books in monastery. All of that for your job?
i miss the scene because i enroll the tourney, too lazy to reload
Same here.
Well, the moment the rope snapped, he could have argued if that was a sign of God.
But in that time and age, he might end up even worse with such claim. They might burn him for being blasphemic.
No signs and wonders, let alone mercy for (eventually wrong) judged people, I guess.
0:39 ah good they didn't get any blood on the chopping block good good bestvto nit get it dirty
How do I start this quest?
You need to find a wife for the Rattay executioner Hermann, then later you'll get this quest
It's a game. It doesn't matter in the end. But I approach it on a roleplay aspect.
Figured sabotaging only one item would be the best way to avoid suspicion of sabotahe, so I dulled the sword thinking the guy would still die but taking a couple of blows would be humilliating to the executioner. The rope breaking would mean a terrible criminal would go free and I wanted the third guy to suffer for what he's done.
Then I remembered a botched execution could mean the executioner himself is next on the chopping block by law.
So yeah, you'd be pretty much condemning this guy to death in real life.
Well he's pretty well known, possible he'll survive it. Besides, out of professional courtesy, he should've refused the job
Who cares. He wants to steal my bro hermans job
Watching this video cuz I didn't know when to be there cuz the quest only said, watch the execution, but not when is the fucking execution and how the fuck long I have to wait there... Cuz like, I did the sabotage in one day..
Next day at 2PM..
Next day at 2PM.. After meeting Herrmann
Next day at 2PM.. After meeting Herrmann
I want an execution/human sacrifice simulator game....
Brent Fisher personally, I wish there was more executions in the game. Maybe a weekly hanging of a wanted criminal. And maybe if you in the story capture someone. And they are a horrible person. They get publicly executed by a choice of the local lord. Would add more realism and fit the time period.
@@wackyiowa724 Yeah, that would have been nice.
I think somewhere in the game, possibly in the lores section, it was said that executions were rare in medieval age. Wikipedia also mentions that under Executioner title with references.
Yeah, executions were indeed quite rare. Mostly because villages were quite small and proportionatelly there were far less horrible criminals. Prague had just 40k people during that time period, for example. That's why they made such a spectacle of the executions that did happen. Furthermore, if there were an execution a week, people would get desensitized to them quickly.
Executions were reserved to the most unredeemable people. Most punishments were dealt in relative privacy. A whipping. Cutting fingers, ears, hands off. But most punishments were some time in the dungeon or in the pillory amid the town square.
@@wackyiowa724 ive randomly come across people being displayed in the stockade(?), in the middle of the squares, with the bailiff shouting their crimes, usually theft. Its pretty rare to see but its happed 2-3 times in like 150+ hours for me
