Regarding the £55 large nest : it's better to have ventilation holes and not need them, than to not have them and wish you did.
Covering holes is a thing; drilling additional into a nest in use is ill advised.

@@antholleuferextra I’ve heard you need to dunk them from around 10 minutes to a few hours as ants can survive 24 hours underwater.

It's almost like he doesn't realise you can go to any DIY or bargain shops and buy little rubber sticky pads.
Actually, scratch that. They're £2.99 for 100 on Amazon. He's about to lose his mind.
