I got carebara from Senegal, black with some bright red on the gyne. No idea what the actual species is since antwiki has only 2 carebara species acknowledged in Senegal. Could be a colour variation but I doubt it. Got the gyne in a test tube inside a box and I'm heating the whole box, this prevents condensation or overheating. Probably 100 eggs now in the first 15 days. Looks like a fast growing species 😂

Regarding the £55 large nest : it's better to have ventilation holes and not need them, than to not have them and wish you did. Covering holes is a thing; drilling additional into a nest in use is ill advised.
