Not the same bass, but I have the PB20 SBK and the only mods I did was the pickups for better one (Fleor Alnico V) because the stock one wasn't bad but it wasn't a Roswell like the one the JB75 has, aside from that no complains, I had to do a complete setup when it arrived as expected and everything was fine after that Fun Fact: my first complain was sharp edges but it got fixed a couple of days later, probably the wood getting used to the environment as I imported from Thomann in Germany and I live in Chile, so a whole hemisphere apart
I love cheap basses. The price of entry is pennies on the dollar compared to guitar since the windows for good action are considerably bigger than guitar
HB is very bad guitars. They seem to look good, but they sound very bad. Even if a good musician plays these instruments. I am very disappointed in HB.
I can completely dig what your saying. You had a bad experience with a HB. However there are many professional musicians gigging these from studios to las Vegas show's so you may want to take a second look! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the review Mike!

Yeah fret edges are always the factor. Fret sprouting is the 1st thing I look for at this price point.
I appreciate your input!
Great review Mike !

That thing was a nice score. Spoiler, it's gonna look even better in 20 years when it takes on that roasted look as the finish and wood age. :)
Maple neck and Ash body so heck yeah! I’m just not sure about the 20 years part!
LOL Good point! :)@@USTTRM
Let's hear those thoughts!
