So many questions.. what if i froze the wave bc i am behind and i want stay safe, and then the support kills off a creep for the support item?
What if my support constantly plays behind me? If i play parallel to him, he just steps back further
What if my support keeps getting caught? Is it because i am not parallel with him?

Q1: If that happens, deal with it. It's soloqueue, everything is so chaotic and many things don't go as planned. Learn to adapt. Slow push the wave and see if you can dive, if not look to roam or recall and perhaps freeze on the bounce.
Q2: You have to play with the resources you have. Especially in the lower elo below masters, your enemies will make so many mistakes so that you don't have to force anything. Play according to your support and if you play well opportunities will arise as your enemies will slip up at some point, it's inevitable.
Q3: This could be due to many reasons. There's no one size fits all answer to this question, depends on the situation.
