Yeah new yotk DOES have that upstairs manhatten apartment from friends vibe and even the poorer seinfeld style apt is still hella fun and reminds you of being in an old movie. San Francisco has this exact dame feeling but a much much smaller version but it is still there. Its like all the great cities of the world 100 years ago were all like this...im sure theres a special word for this "being high up in a building" and new york is so cool that you can go there for 1 day and experience that upstairs rooftop penthouse vibe by just paying 20 bucks to go to the roof of empire state or rockefeller center.

Colleges may not give you a defining edge or even a leg up, but they do provide an experience of sorts. That experience can vary, and usually includes a lot of internal work on yourself.
But Sam isn’t as knowledgeable on some of this stuff as he claims to be. He’s very gifted in audio/visual but he doesn’t really have as much passion for art beyond that but he acts like he does

Yea Sam’s assessment of CMU is pretty spot on. A lot of the more legit midwestern-ish schools are the ones worth going to, even paying for. BUT you will be surrounded by Indians and Chinese ALL day, so if you’re a white guy might feel a bit weird
