In all of fighting games, Setsuka’s style is what you call “Demon Style” level pf mastery. A very unique and flashy character indeed. Tried studying her but i could only pull of “noob” combos.
She takes some time but she feels so rewarding!

This character is insane. I have a hard time people are going to be able to play like that in a tourney, though! The amount of mental energy you have to put towards counter hit confirming, versus other things? Oof. Hard mode.
Yeah, Setsuka is a very hard character to play but she's a lot of fun (when the connection is good and your combos work, which is not often LMAO)
Some patch changed Setsuka a little bit so here are new infos for you :
- (66B+K)B on CH is a launcher since Hwang's release. Best route is BT B+K.B - 2362aB or twister
- Some moves got a harder scaling. 22B LH, 22K LH, During Wings of Heaven B or even 214A+G got nerfed so don't be surprised if you get less damage when you do them yourself.
- agB LH first route is actually irrelevant since in most cases, you'll get that LH after sidestepping a fast vertical. There's almost no way you can hit your opponent in front of them unless you did a mini backstep against a super short move. Optimal route without RE is agB - a:g:B - a:g:B - ROH B - 6A+B for over 100 damage iirc.
- Bear in mind the 22A+B.A can be escaped through ukemi depending on the side, the opponent's character and the behavior (if the previous move was BT B+K.B on an airborne opponent for instance). The CPU didn't ukemi when it actually could so one or two combos are not fully guaranteed. In any case, if you don't feel certain about using 22A+B.A, go for 2362aB/twister or into SKY stance to setup pressure (if they don't know they can just stay grounded to avoid all moves)
- Also, the first combo starts with aB, not bA.

I have an issue with rising red moon, specifically just frames. I can only get the just frames if I do it twice and only on the second input even though im doing it exactly the same or at least it feels like its exactly the same. But this video is helpful, im new to the game and trying to train a bit before going online with setsuka. Im at the point now where I only drop the 2143 shade buster input 3-4 outta 10 times now lol. Long comment here sorry. This video helps a lot though cuz I was basically just trying to do what I saw in other ppls online replays and stuff so you displaying the inputs is effin awesome. Plus its just a really well made video. Thanks for that!

agB is the hardest move in Setsuka's movelist for sure. Honestly, just practice timing after agB LH or after 9K LH :)
@@harmonyofsirius2397 I'll try but its very difficult for me right now lol. I just realized why I drop certain combos as well, I keep having to time it so precisely and I cant I either input too early or too late. Im not sure if it's all characters that need such precise timing since I'm focusing on setsuka so much that I haven't tried to seriously learn anyone else but its frustrating. For example one of her b&b's the 4BB 2143BB 6B etc. I cant get the 2143BB 90% of the time because the window is so tiny. Idk how ppl actually land that regularly lol it amazes me. Im just gonna grind and lab though since I'm not frustrated enough to quit and learning the game is rewarding I just feel like the devs made setsukas move set in a way that makes players wanna rely on the easy inputs and im so tempted to use them lol. Sorry for the long comment
2362aB is such a batshit input for such an important move.
If you're struggling with AGB j-frame, listen for the sound of her sword being re-sheathed and execute AGB as soon as you hear it click. You'll get a j-frame or the normal AGB almost everytime just practice and practice:)

Excellent video! I've been practicing her JFs and I can't get her rising moon jf consistently. Is it all fast a,g,b fast as possible or a,g very fast then B slightly slower?

But I'm unable to make the blue sparkle effect appear.

2363b 2362a+b a, a gb 2362 a+b, 2361b 2362a+b a are good combos for making a good mindgames or pressing after 2143 a+b 2363b its combo too with techtraps too after
Is there any trick for getting the hard knockdowns for the Sakuras Twister? I can't quiet get the timing and what to look for.
4 b+k its a good tecktrap move example 4 bB 6 b sidestep right 4 b+k b beats all 8 wayruns from teckrolls

Those moves are so insane in SCVI and they have been simplified... It used to be even worse...

How do you go from a 3B into a fc3aB?
For that matter how do you go into full crouch 3aB from a standing position without doing a crouching attack or holding guard in the first place?

You have to use Setsuka's special inputs. Instant FC moves are done by performing 214 before.
So 3B - 6A+B is actually 3B - 2143aB.
Does the lethal hit sakura swipe combo done at 11:25 still work? I've been trying to do that for the longest time and my 6A+B (b slide a) doesn't hit
As the caption said, it works on opponents recovering off axis only, it's very specific.
Hey, was having a bit of trouble getting the twister at the end of the the 2.57 combo (even with just frame), am I perhaps too far from the opponent to get the follow up or is it maybe character specific?
It should reach no matter what. It's not character-specific, the timing is just a bit tight. I whiff quite often when I play online myself, so...

Is there any way how to do the a g B easier? And how to do the 236 2 aB in an easier way?
agB is really hard and requires practice. I started to fully play Setsuka in SCVI and I actually got used to agB timing pretty easily. Try to set B on a trigger if you use a pad.
I use an Xbox controller and I just press X-A-RT to get agB.
As for 2362aB, well, try to get used to 236 first, then try to do 22aB or [2]aB then combine both!
I miss her SC3 Esthetic. I wonder why they changed it. Or model her after Suzuka from Outlaw Star.
I like all of her aesthetics but I feel a tiny bit bitter about SC6 design. It's so messy, the things with ropes is just awkward and pretty much all of her concept arts looked better LMAO
@@harmonyofsirius2397 I know the Japanese don't want to be represented in their games. But blonde hair blue eyes can't be the alternative either. Characters are often times poorly designed because they are basing them off of google images and media representation.
Kind of new to Soul 6, but what does the small "A" icon next to the normal size "B" icon mean? (Like in this part 3:18)
It means "slide input". aB means you quickly press B after pressing A. If you play on a pad, it means you slide your thumb from A to B.
In Tekken it's written between [ and ].

Some of these combos are impractical. You can do easier versions that do the same damage. The harder combos are there to show off. Still nice vid. It’s good practice I guess.

You can buffer the 214. The 3 is a normal press, and a:B must be very quick.
It's basically a "fast input" of a:B, not a frame perfect input.
What does that ROH means? And the GI!?
you might've figured it out already but ROH is 8B+k and GI just means guard impact
Yeah, RoH stands for Ring of Heaven which is her jumping stance, inputted with 8B+K.
And GI stands for Guard Impact, pressing 6+G.

What is AGB?
AGB, is a quick and precise single hit launcher. It's difficult to perform with default controls so it's suggested to use B+K for the final input with one of the 4 triggers. I personally prefer LB as opposed to RB, but its just personal preference.
Put simply, you have press A, then G (gaurd), then B quickly in that order.
Did you actually land the agb? No one would blame you if you used the cheat input.
Nope, I didn't. It took a lot of time to have all the JF for every combo perfectly so the easier input was very helpful. I did use it for the regular agB as a combo starter in the first part.
a:g:B is actually good with 9K LH. In other situations, you have combos with really similar damage, if not more damage.
the more you do it , the easier it gets. the jf one is harder obviously, but its quite doable once you try it a few hundred times. keep at it and youll get it down.
@@JH-qp2um a few hundred? Pfft my girlfriend thought I cracked after practicing just the agb for 2 hours.
@@michaelflatt4663 dont worry ive practiced much more than 2 hours, and while i get agB about 98% of the time now, i still cant work out the jf version. not even on accident lol. in live fights the plain version honestly isnt good enough aside from a whiff punish. is a great whiff punish though.
What’s the cheat input for agb
This character is just too complex for me. I got some basic understandings of her abilities. But playing against someone who has reached her high skill ceiling.. it's a god damn nightmare to try and get some breathing room. Setsuka really is too fast for her own good; and her damage output for downed characters (Hitting people on the floor) is just too much.

God damn 😅 shes abusive. My setsuka isnt fluid at all. Choppy mess always missing just input combos then getting punished for whiffing 😢
