The Ranger 2000 is easy to assemble and features a large wingspan for stability in the air. The wings are fitted with two spars to strengthen the wings and they are attached using fast connecting wing clips to join the wings into the fuselage. After flying, simply squeeze the clips to release the wings and easily store the plane in your car. The fuselage has the capacity for an FPV camera and related components.
The plug-and-fly plane is a single-body aircraft with a plastic fuselage that offers flexible, lightweight protection in case of crash landings. At the front of the fuselage, a pre-cut hole gives you the option of adding an FPV camera. The position puts you right in the pilot's seat without having to cut into the sturdy body of the plane yourself.
Remove the black canopy to reveal a flat bed for mounting different cameras, transforming your glider into the perfect FPV model or videography vehicle. Glide through the air with this AMAZING electric-powered glider that's perfect for weekend flying.

Well guys I just purchased the plane. But from Banggood not HK. HK wanted $68.00 US to ship and Banggood only wanted $30.00. But the point is the plane is on its way, just in time for summer and thermal season.

Ha ha "Just buy this, and what the hell eh? " It looks like a nicely made and well balanced glider. Good gliders don't care too much about wind, but often too much wind kills the thermals. From what I have seen with your demonstration, is that on a hot day, not too windy, when there are lots of thermals, this glider will stay up all day like for eight hours easy. You will be so tired by the end of that time. You flew this glider very hard Capt Robert and it still had lots of battery left and I could see you setting the timer easily for an hour if you did more gliding with it, "Oh yeah!" .. Happy Gliding hey!

Hey dis is it ! I’m really happy you reviewed it. I just clicked this plane I buy the 1600mm because of space restriction. But you confirmed that this plane can really fly in the wind. I am from Malta and we always have wind. The body of the 2000 and 1600 is the same length only the wing span is 400 mm more. You do honest reviews and this certainly not biased. I’m happy I buy this model. Salute bros

Lots of advantages of sailplanes/gliders. 1) they run longer on fewer amps.2) they handle the wind because well, thats what they are designed for.3) less likely to suffer major damage on bad landings, etc.4) prices are good.5) maybe something else i didnt think of.

RCWeaven FPV @ what F4 platform is good to use for INAV, I like ardupilot never tried inav
@@jedslather Matek F405 is what I used. F411 is the newer. And F711 is the newest if by chance you want or dont mind F7. Those are also great because you wont need an additional PDB.

@RCWeaven FPV thanks, I don't know much about INAV is it not mostly for quads? I use my FC to fly all kinds of birds, long and short missions, so now that I'm used to Ardupilot is the mission planner similar? The smallest FC I can put in my smallest plane is the pixhark 4 mini, that one is around 50$ USD from Banggood. The next step up is the Mini from holybro and that one is expensive.

Ooooh Captain Blāz! Pilot Robert!! This video is making my morning! I have a cup of coffee and watching your video. I'm so glad you flew this on a windy day, my Slovenian friends! We have quite a few windy days in my home city of Wollonong in Australia and this beauty would be perfect. We have glorious beaches and I'm thinking I could mount my GoPro (quite heavy) on the FPV mount using my abundant 2200mah 3s batteries! Hoorahhhh!

i use this 2m ranger for fpv. Stick a 1350kv propdrive 2826 motor with 4s battery and use the stock prop or a 8x5 one but no higher as you'll max out the 20amp current and burn the motor: Also upgrade servos as the stock ones can't cope with the extra speed and you have a much faster plane to get up into the clouds with, trust me guys, i've tried 3 different motors and propeller pitches and this combo works the best.

It’s a great endurance platform. I have owned the original version of this plane, the FPV Raptor by Lanyu Hobbies who changed to VolantexRC, for around six years. I installed an original 3DRobotics APM 2.5 flight controller with GPS and FPV, all powered by a 5200mAh 3s for nearly 120 minute flight time. After seeing your review I’m very tempted to add this newer version to my hanger.

My Ranger 2000 will be here soon. We have a national Remembrance Day tomorrow (Thursday 25th April called ANZAC Day) so it won’t come tomorrow but either today or Friday. So Thursday I fly a 1:1 scale plane, then back to work Monday next week. Yay! (Edit) Hobbyking Live in Slovenia? I would fly the two days to get there for that!

You to, I have the ASW-28 and I'm setting it up for long range with a matek 405 and a AKK DOMINATOR. the only thing I don't like about this guy is the pins for the canopy because I broke all of them before I could even fly it once. Thanks again
It is always good to have at a back-up plane that you can fly in the wind.
It keeps you from crashing something else and/or from missing a chance to fly.

A folding prop is a must. Less drag and more efficient glide. You can stop the prop spinning. There are vids on UA-cam how to do this.
I nearly bought this glider but got a Phoenix 2000 glider instead.

Servus from Austria - your RC-channel is the most informative and interesting i have ever seen. The funny comments and your presentation are unique, so i do not need an TV-Program in Austria anymore ;-) Since the 70s i have model airplanes and after some interruptions i startet this hobby again because of my grandchild's.
