I notice you miss one thing, in the clip that started the video, where the ball kept bouncing off the pal. Sometimes a pal has been damaged, but the game doesn't register the damage is coming from you/your party, to change that you need to do at least one hit so like you mentioned hitting the pal with the stun Baton works in that case.
this guy is wasting your time, here is a tldr which is very obvious: The higher the lvl of a pal, the higher grade ball u need to catch it. Things affecting catching rate besides the ball: Stun them using stun baton, catch them from their back (sneak) and use the statue in base to upgrade your % catch chance. There you go, you now saved 7 minutes.
It more on the generic masses of players normally being impatient and not wanting to read. Pressing the throw button repeatedly is more easier than having to use braincells to plan the capture after all. There’s always the spectrum in every game
True. However the breakdown on the levels was really helpful to me as I wasn't entirely sure of them. I know they're not 100% accurate but makes a bit of sense
As of February 3rd. 2024 there is a bug in the game that reduces your capture rate when upgrading your capture rate with lifmunk effigies. Edit: update As of February 7th the pal world devs have officially recognized and patched this bug in an update that dropped last night. This update is for pc but they said the Xbox patch should drop soon.

I was hoping there was some tip about moving around while you're waiting to see if the capture succeeds. It feels (superstitious) like if I make quick movements, it influences whether the percentage goes up or not. Did not know about the stun/freeze, so thanks for that! =)
Hey man quick question. How do you spend your hours of gametime? Do you focus more on the building your base part while grinding for materials or farms. Or are you always adventuring catching pals, Grinding levels, breeding?
I do a lot of base building and because of my poor choice of location I have an everchanging base that always gets played with for pal AI, looks, and functionality. ive noticed the pals struggle with path finding so choosing a large, open, flat area is best. its kind of nice changing my base around constantly and having it look different.
Also keep in mind, this game is designed to flood you with things to do, don’t get caught up trying figure out how to play the game the best way. Just simply playing the game will answer a lot of the harder questions.
My thoughts exactly. I love switching between one that make me fly up and the other that helps me glad fast. That with high stamina and getting around is a breeze.
My team slots are just too valuable for me to carry someone around to replace something I could have equipped tbh. And not to mention I like Celaray better :p
Do you know if the rocket pal shooter helps with capturing? Also hitting the face can always bounce even if you have a high capture rate they can headbutt it away. thanks for the vid

On PC, aiming at the capture spinning ring animation and sweeping in and out from center to edge seems to be doing something, though I'm not sure exactly what the mechanic is, or how much of it is confirmation bias because I'm almost always doing it.
They respawn, contrary to what Jacobe said. I've hit Lifmunk Effigies and they have been available to collect again. (Not sure on the timeframe, but it's not quick)

A quick google search would also give the answer you’re looking for: they dont respawn. If you’ve got video proof of one respawning then cool good for you, my bad but for the majority of people on the internet, its not the case. I simply said to not spread mis info, no reason to really get heated about it big guy.
Had a glitch today where I could catch any pal without weakening or damaging the allowing me to get level 40 pals with the first ball 100% of the time I re logged and it didn’t go away any idea what’s happening?
Tells me I can’t capture nothing and when I go to capture it says No Pals in party ? I captured for and put them in my base they’re not in my party and now I can’t capture none saying no pals in party so I put a pal in my party and all my pal does his kill it and I still can’t throw the orb

one of the best base locations is in a red section near the middle of the map with a very close fast travel point called Desolate Church there is a statue inside the church and many trees and 8 ore nodes behind the church
currently level 23 and cant capture anything with the blue sphere any more lvl 1-9 pals have a chance below 10%.... Capture power is only at level 5 though, but in my oppinion it shouldnt be that low. Playing on a dedicated server, with default settings for capture rate. I have a singleplayer game, where I dont remember capture rates being that low...
you shouldn't even be using blue spheres at that level, in fact you shouldn't even be using mega spheres. the spheres that you should be using are giga spheres at your current level. also you have to damage them to at least less then 10% but better to be less then 5% hp.

level 49 Blazimuth boss would like to disagree with the ultra sphere working on him. He had literally 2 hp, and I had a what, 2% chance? At statue level 8.
They are accurate, what happens is that the chances don't stack up, they are isolated every time, 40% doesn't mean you catch it 4 out of every 10 times. It means you get 40% each time, meaning if you are unlucky you won't catch no matter how many you throw

I've been successfully catching harder pals with basic pal spheres. All I have been doing it trying to get their health to 1HP like it's PKMN. I haven't failed to catch a Mon yet unless the health was too high up. I can make Giga spheres but I don't. I use the Pal spheres I find in my base bc Vixy
How high of pals can you catch doing that though? Sure I'll go through 40-150 spheres when I have a .5% chance to catch something... but then I'll throw a Giga and it'll catch it immediately.

Hitting from behind bother me. Because you clearly going to want to weaken them. 1st but no longer can get back boost. It a one time surprise so it really only usefuyif it a easy pal an high tier sphere. Easy fixe would to ket back hit to still work after attacking them

100% correct.
Currently the statue is bugged in such a way; the higher you level your stats with the statue, the worse your capture rate will be.

yes it is,the statue show a higher % but it's actually lower, no statue = 50%, with statue it shows 75% but it's actually 40%
Fixed now. No evidence the capture rate is decreasing. It just doesnt go up

Depends how rare or how high the pal lvl is some thimes even 3% health they will still deflect the sphere if you throw in on face

Bum rush your base building imo, not point of power leveling and not having what you need in base to craft all the high end tier stuff

If you sprint, slide, jump, glide in that order... you glide very fast ... don't need an Eagle to Glide if you have a flying Pal.

I can confirm it's not guaranteed, I used a Legendary sphere to try and catch Anubis on 1hp and it still broke out. Safe to say I was not amused
