It never ceases to amaze me what people will believe. This video has ALL up votes as of right now. Yet I didn't see any value whatsoever in this video. I now own a tabby and have owned all colors of tabby's over the years. I have not noticed any different behavior in them than any other cat. I did notice that black and grey cats tend to be more temperamental than most others though. Most of the things listed here are examples of what you will experience with any color of cat. I didn't see one thing in this video I would attribute to tabby's only. So they are the ONLY colored cat that stinks up a litter box if it's NOT cleaned? And the only ones that scratch furniture, etc.? Lol. Yeah, sure. I guess I should have gotten a white cat that doesn't like to climb or claw things and has urine that smells like fine wine and the other body excrement that smells like hershey's chocolate I guess. Lol.

What a load of BS! I had a female tabby maybe 6 months old come up to me in a parking lot on a very hot day, I took her home and she is sweet as cake.. She adores our dog, sleeps next to him and follows him everywhere. Not a mean bone in her little body. She’s now 6 years old and very slender. Whoever put this shit together should be ashamed of themselves. 😡
Misleading title as most of the info isn't tabby specific and was even admitted in the text. My advice: learn a bit about cat behaviour and care before you decide to get one of any kind. They all have their own personalities and will need care, attention and an adequate environment.
🐱 FUNNY! I’m a volunteer at a veterinarian. Here’s a few tips for longer life: Cut back on dry cat food. it can cause urinary blockage, and kidney disease, over time, especially for male cats. Upgrade your cat food quality. Purina One canned and dry, is a good brand. Most cat food brands are low quality, thats why you pay less. 🐈 Coyote attacks on Outdoor cats and traffic fatalities are on the rise, so keep your cat Indoors. 🐾 If you have a senior cat, bring it in for a full senior blood panel. it’s a quick, easy way to assess its basic all around health, while its still early. Our cats can live healthier & longer. 🐱 ‘INDOOR’ CAT FOODS ARE LOWER IN CALORIES
My Tiny Tabby is a feral, young adult cat, not a runt or anything, just unusually small. She has no interest at all in playing. Playing with anything, cat toys, string toys, balls, squeaky toys, other cats, or even fingers. Basically, as soon as she figures out she can't eat it, she looses interest and walks away. For the first 3 years she lived with me she also didn't meow. In fact, aside from her only barely audible purr, the ONLY sound she'd make is a kind of grunt. Whenever she'd jump up on something, like a bed, a table, or a chair, she'd let out a kind of grunt that sounded like "Merf!". Which is why I named her Murphy. She doesn't like being picked up (regardless of how you support her), or even held, but she is however a serious cuddle bug. If I'm taking a nap, she curls up behind my knees, or against my tummy. If I'm reading a book on my back, she pushes my elbow away from my side, then snuggles up with her front paws under my armpit, and her chin resting on my shoulder. If I'm on the computer, on the kamode, or just sitting watching TV, she's asleep on my lap. She, and my other two cats, have their own "cat rules" that I'm expected to follow. Like... touching someone while they're making biscuits (kneading) is just RUDE! Also, no matter what you're doing, if your about to do something different, then you have to let everyone in the room know that, so that it doesn't cause mass panic. And the way you let everyone know you're about to do something different, is to stretch first, THEN go do it. That way everyone in the room knows that there's nothing to panic over, and goes back to whatever they were doing. But oh-ho man if you don't stretch first, if you're sitting, and suddenly just stand up without warning, then suddenly everyone's up, wide awake, and ready to bolt. Until they realize it's a false alarm, the big hairless kid just forgot to stretch - AGAIN. There are lots of other rules, but, since this video was mostly a waste of time I thought I'd ask if anyone else has any "cat rules" they've learned to follow. Anybody?

Elvis the Cat was a charcoal grey tabby, who walked into a Tupelo Mississippi BBQ and Blues juke joint, hopped onto a barstool in front of the bartender. The bartender gently shooed him outside. When I went to leave, this cat was still hanging around outside. I coaxed him to allow me to approach him, petting him under his chin. He responded by purring loudly. He chose to be adopted. I opened the car door, and he stepped inside, purring joyfully. I drove him to my house, where he got out of my car and walked to the front door. He had the looks and intelligence of an African Wild Cat. His instincts were wild, and he proved to be a skilled predator. I miss that formidable tomcat.

Hi, so cute! 🐈 as a veterinary volunteer, can I give you a few suggestions? cat food is often poor quality, as there are no regulations on it. I suggest Purina One, Purina pro plan, or Hills science diet. Also, cut back on dry food for cats, especially males. Over time it can cause urinary blockage and kidney issues. Also, keep your cat Indoors only. There’s been a spike of predator attacks on cats, and traffic hit and runs
I dont agree to most of them the moving one is true fr but in my opinion a tabby is a great choice because they are very cheap and kind cats thats what i know as a tabby and chartruex owner so its ok to get one
This video should win the you tube stupidity award. Everything said applies to all cats. Tabby is a coat marking not a breed. But the funniest bit is about the litter training. It shows a photo of a Bengal cat!!! I have a Tabby and he is absolutely amazing! I have never heard of a cat that a neighbour could hear unless it is in the garden during breeding season or fighting. I might post a video myself. ‘10 reasons why some videos on you tube are so laughable!’
i have had and have known many tabbies in my 7+ decades of life. got two of them right now. and never have i known one whose purr was so loud that the neighbors were disturbed by it. who put this video together? poop stinks. the cats will do it and cover it so you don't have to deal with it for longer than it takes for the smell to dissipate, which should only be a minute or so. but if you are too lazy - or, maybe, stupid - to scoop, you get what you deserve. AND, the cat will punish you for it. almost nothing in this video makes sense.
Where does she get all that fake information? I have my tabby cat with me for 11 years and he is really good boy and very smart. He is indoor cat all his life and last week we moved to a home with a backyard I accidentally left the door open and he got out that happened around 9pm and I realized the next morning he wasn’t home. We posted flyers all around the area and four days later he came back home . I was so happy that he found his way home. Some neighbors calls me that they saw him 9 blocks away from home we are very new in the neighborhood. I’m still surprised.
Seems to me that this is a guide on how to take care of your cat. With all due respect I think your title is misleading. Don't understand what you have against tabby cats. A little toxic I might add.
I don’t have a tabby, so I don’t have a bias in this discussion, but based on her evidence, “never adopt a tabby” is ridiculous. Every issue mentioned is either manageable (weight gain, being clingy) or applies to all cats (scratching, litter box issues, needing stimulation, lifespan). I can’t imagine what cat (or dog or horse or …) WON’T involve lifestyle limitations! Even if you have goldfish, you have to arrange to have them fed if you go out of town. I wonder what pet she’s thinking of that humans won’t outlive? Giant tortoises, maybe? Few common pets generally have a longer lifespan than humans.
Disliked video and won't finish watching. This is a video of lies. Tabby is NOT a breed of cat. I've had MANY cats during my 58 years on Earth, and the only actual cat BREED that seems to have some characteristics somewhat unique to it ~ or, rather, it is more likely to have a couple of specific characteristics than other Breeds ~ is the Siamese Cat, and those character traits are GOOD ones. Why would you people attempt to give ANY cat a bad reputation, no matter it's coat color or pattern. I'm pretty sure you all just don't like cats in general. I will instruct UA-cam to STOP recommending your videos if another pops up in my feed.
We got a 8 month old siamese kitten and like a typical siamese, we've had a few over the years, she's vocal, mouthy and will argue with you, loves to climb and sit in high places. And she is sweet, obnoxious, demanding, friendly, aloof, social and controlling. Just like any other breed of cat. She does have the chocolate lab completely under her control tho and they are plotting something. We just don't know what. I'm sure it will involve explosives and get the FBI involved. Again.
Problems with cats are always caused by bad owners. Just like children, kids from rotten parents are rotten kids who disrupt class and bully others. I am a retired teacher and cat owner for 40 years. Be a better parent/owner please.

You don't anything about tabby cats all cats can be the same way and it could be who's raising them.
I love grey tabbies! They have attitude and are intelligent! The stories I could tell about Priscilla! This video is wrong.
what a confusing ass title

Misleading title as most of the info isn't tabby specific and was even admitted in the text. My advice: learn a bit about cat behaviour and care before you decide to get one of any kind. They all have their own personalities and will need care, attention and an adequate environment.
What a crock.
All bulls#hit!
It is all a big lie😡Tabby cats are amazing,sweet,kind and beautiful!!!❤ I have 2
Me with 7 orange tabby cats: ok
Love my tabby cat haven’t had a problem yet. She loves. People. And very friendly Nov 22!2023 Sunday
If you have a senior cat, bring it in for a full senior blood panel. it’s a quick, easy way to assess its basic all around health, while its still early. Our cats can live healthier & longer. 🐱
‘INDOOR’ CAT FOODS ARE LOWER IN CALORIES
Me and my Mom got a tabby kitten, she bites everything.... but she is a good little kitty I think you have a problem with tabby cats
no
My Tiny Tabby is a feral, young adult cat, not a runt or anything, just unusually small.
Anybody?
I am The mother of A seven year old Fur baby who a seven year old Tabby Named Lilah jean .She not big on other animals but loves and adores being the only child and spoiled rotten and on some days gets me laughing hard cause she does zoomies around the apartment or does something silly .Yes they can be bossy and hate an unclean litterbox but their worth it cause of their friendly goofy personalities and are a bundle of fun .I got two cat towers in my apartment for the furry child and have tons of toys .She loves Jingly balls and turns into a mini tiger soccor star when i throw one of her jingly toys across the room .
I own a tabby cat and he is so loving like he only growl he growls at me sometimes he scratches me sometimes but that’s when I well I don’t know well maybe cause I get a little hyper and I just need a cat around me but he’s sitting right here in my lap being a little precious boy and he is a boy his name is Leo and he’s just so precious so yeah
I love my scottish fold Tabby... She is the sweetest thing
Aren’t these behaviors of all cats. Tabby isn’t even a breed. 🙄🙄🙄
This is so ignorant. It is a color or coat. That is it. It is actually cat racism. Tabbies have been known for having the best behavior.
no
She said "they purr so loud that neighbours can hear them" LMFAO i cant take this video serious
I miss my baby tabby, she was very smart and loving with big beautiful heart.
My tabbies have all these traits and they are the best cats ever!
I 2 Tabby cats and every sweet lovable Karen Katz and what you got to say is irrelevant in a lie about not getting at a because they're the best cats in the world
All these points are due to them being cats. If you dont want a cat dont get one. Good god people.smh
only weird people have cats. normal people have dogs
Well I've had both and even at the same time along with other " weird" pets like birds, all types of rodents, and omg even a Himalayan rabbit. Sarcasm if that isn't coming through clear enough for you.
@@ronartest7748 the last comment was for you
@@margaretgarlando7911 never met a person who had a cat that wasn't weird.
I've owned many tabbies and this is nonsense. They can be one of the nicest problem free, highly affectionate and loving cats around.
Gosh, why my tabby is sweet, she lets me pet her belly
My once stray tabby white belly boy wants to be friends with every cat around bar 1 , a full tabby new to town 😂😂😂
My cat was super picky when eating. by only eating tuna cann and nothing else. He absolutely love to watch the squirrels.
On behalf of the tabby cats being left in shelters thanks to your misinformation, consider using your time and resources for good instead of evil when creating future videos.
I am NOT too clingy. 😸
My tabby is the opposite of all of these! She is a perfect angel might be because we have her since she was 5 days old.
Whaaaaaaa????
I have TWO tabby cats and they are just the best cats. I love my tabby boys so much. And yes one of mine is a little chubby but we're working on it. My boys are SUPER loud purrers and i LOVE it.
Also....most cats shed.
this video sucks
Very true
Hi, so cute! 🐈 as a veterinary volunteer, can I give you a few suggestions? cat food is often poor quality, as there are no regulations on it. I suggest Purina One, Purina pro plan, or Hills science diet. Also, cut back on dry food for cats, especially males. Over time it can cause urinary blockage and kidney issues. Also, keep your cat Indoors only. There’s been a spike of predator attacks on cats, and traffic hit and runs
Best to not get one, or have children, or get married, orbuy a house, or paint your fence, or
15 reasons why nobody should listen to you:
number one: this video
I dont agree to most of them the moving one is true fr but in my opinion a tabby is a great choice because they are very cheap and kind cats thats what i know as a tabby and chartruex owner so its ok to get one
My Orange Tabby cat is my best friend; no complaints from me !
I did get a Tabby cat . And she was lovely.
My personality is similar to a cat and yes it's hard to change me.Tabbies are stubborn to change
Me😭 but i wave a tabby cat i don't want to throw my cat away
lol my tabby cats are so happy and easy to take care of
All of these are so false as a tabby cat owner
noo
“Cat insider”. You have no business advising people on cats. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Thank you
There are no downsides to owning a Tabby . Even our so and so who just eats, sleeps and uses the litter tray. But he is so gorgeous
It's not even a stereo type, just pure BS.
THERE'S NOTHING VIDEO MENTIONED ARE TRULY MORE COMMON ON TABBY ONLY,
All of those can happen to any cat
Agree, you said what I wanted to say
With all of that, I still love my tabby cat
I own one anyway, so there’s no turning back.
I have 4 cats. 3 are tabbies and all like to cuddle and none are over weight, apart from me.
I have a geometry test tomorrow and um watching this.. and im a dog person
i have had and have known many tabbies in my 7+ decades of life. got two of them right now. and never have i known one whose purr was so loud that the neighbors were disturbed by it. who put this video together? poop stinks. the cats will do it and cover it so you don't have to deal with it for longer than it takes for the smell to dissipate, which should only be a minute or so. but if you are too lazy - or, maybe, stupid - to scoop, you get what you deserve.
I have a great tabby and love her to death she's my baby . Get a tabby you'll love it
Seems to me that this is a guide on how to take care of your cat. With all due respect I think your title is misleading. Don't understand what you have against tabby cats. A little toxic I might add.
ARE THESE PEOPLE INSANE??! tabbies are some of THE BEST cats. jesus
Who are you telling me not to get a tabby, like No one ask you I will have you know tabby's are great! I cant believe I just gave you a view
Again.
This is a very negative video. I don’t think you you understand cats at all. I truly hope you do not have any cats at home.
Tabby cats are the best smart and most intelligent
Nonsense. I love my two rescue tabbies and they love me back!
I still love my 2 male tabbys
Most of the behaviors mentioned in this video apply to all cats, not just tabbies.
Problems with cats are always caused by bad owners. Just like children, kids from rotten parents are rotten kids who disrupt class and bully others. I am a retired teacher and cat owner for 40 years. Be a better parent/owner please.
