one of these days I gotta take the plunge and get into PCE stuff. so many cool games! on Far East of Eden I heard that first CD game recently got translated to engiish. but if I had the money would definitely collect for PCE! so many great shmups on the system, no doubt.
It's definitely one of my favorite retro consoles, so many good games for it. The analogue Duo is out now as well, might be a suitable alternative to original hardware.
@@MadPanicGamingoh yeah I forgot that came out! definitely gonna have to see some of the reviews... will have to consider that for a future purchase for sure.
Great video. Very timely. I was in those very shops a few weeks ago on my first trip to Japan. I was on the hunt for Cyber City Oedo 808 on PC Engine. Found it in Super Potato for about $13 after realising the spines showing Hucard, cd-rom and Super were all PC Engine. Doh. I bet i skimmed right past a cheaper copy during my search.
Love seeing PC engine games which I wanted to get into more. Even though I'm think getting a PC Engine system since I do to own a Turbografx-16 system with some games. But yeah, awesome video.😉👍
totally aligned with the Analogue duo release which I just got my shipment order for. I only have about 8 games and I bought 5 of those in Japan in August. I Can't wait to get stuck in. My god some of the soundtracks on the CD games are fantastic.
Great video Jim. I always like it when you go through a bunch of games and give a sense of cost but also what is out there. A PCE video was most welcome again. Retro Game Camp seems to have pretty good prices and perhaps not the most exotic games, but a decent stock on PCE. Super Potato always really connects with that nostalgia feeling for some reason and despite the higher prices, they seem to have a better selection which you hardly see anywhere else.
Where is the first spot you’re at? I’m in Shinjuku and went to Akihabara today and wanted to find a PC Engine Mini (I know, not featured in this video) but couldn’t find one anywhere 😢
The mountain roads with fast cars and friends with the same passion IS where the action is. That's why I left Tokyo. Driving there is boring. But if cars aren't your thing then Tokyo is fine. @@MadPanicGaming
@@Retrovertigo53 yeah, not the least bit interested in cars. I enjoy the live venues, nightlife, dating, my social circles, work opportunities and special events.
Even PC Engine game covers look like works of art. Need more appreciations 😊😊😊
Indeed, love that classic anime style.

Nice hunt, Jim! Never seen that Godzilla fighting game before. Looks really cool!
It's a decent little fighter.
Perfect video for me today! My Analogue Duo just shipped today. Can't wait to get it!
NICE! Enjoy.

Lol, it helps to have someone with you that can read the spines.
I Miss Akihabara. Loved every second there.

Analogue Duo just dropped, might be worth looking into.

I got seriously into PC Engine collecting at one point, I had around 300 games for it I think.
@@MadPanicGaming pce was a gap filler for me. I just bought games that weren't on other consoles. Still do.

If Super Potato does anything right, it's the aesthetics. Also, their arcade and candy shop kicks ass.

Psycho Chaser. Great game
Fucking awesoem best series!
Another fun game hunt. I really enjoy your content.
Imagine The legend of Xanadu actually being an adaptation of that movie
I mean, it can be, in your imagination. Just pretend that Arios is Olivia Newton John.

That place is called Retro Game Camp.
Went there and don’t remember seeing all this so clearly didn’t look around properly! Thanks for letting me know
Is Rondo of blood never in these sections because it's an in demand and expensive game?
It's always behind glass with the other expensive games.
I always like your videos of you exploring Tokyo. I was wondering if you could do a video of yourself speaking Japanese.
The tourist and Tokyo tax on those Akiba prices are insane. Inaka for life. :P
Believe it or not there are good reasons to live in Tokyo aside from video games.
@@MadPanicGaming I lived there for 8 years. That's 7 years too long. :P
That's fine, I'm a lifer though. Small towns are nice for a visit, but I need to be where the action is.
