Great options! Those PCMCIA cases look super satisfying. I would also add that those baseball card/Pokémon card storage binders are great for loose hucards. I've been using one for years and it's super convenient!
I’ve had success cleaning the sticky original sleeves with 90% or higher concentration isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol). I completely dunk them in it an rub the sticky plasticizer residue off inside ant out with my fingers and a lint free cloth. Kimwipes also work well. Do wear nitrile gloves if you do this as the IPA is not good on your skin at these concentrations. Then thoroughly dry them, check and repeat if needed. The ones I have that I cleaned have been fine after five several years. However I wouldn’t be surprised if the stickiness returns over many more years.
How long do you have to let them soak? I did give this a try with 70% and it didn't work at all. I moved on to 90% and it did work for a little while, but noticed that most of the ones I cleaned just got sticky all over again. Perhaps they were too far gone? Or I'm not soaking long enough? Not sure. My hands also dried out so bad! Should have worn gloves. Thanks for the tips :)

For my cib hucards ive had good luck with aliexpress repro sleeves and they are pretty cheap in 50or100 packs so i replace all the sticky ones or missing sleeves
Does the rubbing alcohol pose any risk to the hucard's game label or other writing? I am just worried it could damage/discolor/rub away the artwork on the card.

I just got my Japanese hu card games, so I probably don't have to worry about sticky sleeves yet. But cool ideas.
Even new old stock can have issues surprisingly enough. I opened a new copy of batman once but the sleeve was all filmy and slightly sticky already 😲

Isopropyl alcohol should work in most cases but if the case was extremely sticky, you could always dab a little goo-gone on the non-contact area.
