Comfy Mining Cabin- Mojave Desert CA

We took the Jeep out to the Mojave Desert and visited this abandoned silver mining cabin site. This cabin has been restored and is available to camp in. We also saw mining tramway structures that once came down 1500 feet.

We did a fly by on our last day because it was occupied on the previous days. Plus we had a storm brewing the day we filmed an 2 other cabins to visit before heading home. Wanna return to stay in and check out the mining activities above the cabin.

I plan on going towards the mines on the next trip up. The video trip was a fly by with rain forecasted and I had other sites to visit. So, we didn't spend much time at this site. It was occupied on our first attempt to see it.

It looks like someone has done a good sweep out of that cabin but I prefer the one down the road that was reconstructed by the old man.

We stayed down there on this trip. It was very comfortable. There was heavy winds on the trip so the cabin was a little noisy but I think the better spot.
