**Sorry for the quiet audio. I filmed some of this on my iPhone and wanted to keep the original audio for one of the clips and my phone sucks at picking audio up very well so even after turning it up during editing, it still was sooooo quiet. I had to adjust all the other songs and try to make them fit the same audio level so it didn't blast the headphone users away, apologies, you'll likely have to turn your volume up.**
This is a piece of history that should not be forgotten. navajotimes.com/50years/50-ye...

Originally the Bushnell Army Hospital during World War II, then it was turned into the Intermountain Indian School (also known later as Intermountain Inter-Tribal School for the 1974-1975 school year). It did sit vacant for a few decades after the school closed in 1984.
i got the facts from here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermo...
music (in the order it is played):
→Lucas D. - Rainy Day » • [Ambient] Lucas D. - R...
→Quietness - Kisnou » • [Chillstep] Kisnou - Q...
→Tequila - The Champs » • Video (song was playing in the store but the audio was too quiet so I grabbed the real song and played it over top.)
→Faodail - Patchwork » • [Ambient] Faodail - Pa...
→Rock and Roll is here to stay - Danny & the juniors » • Video (this song was playing in the shop as well for the shot at the end with the hallway and wheelchair. i turned it up as loud as possible in my editing program but it still is reallllly quiet. you'll have to turn it up super loud to even hear it lol. but i added another recording of the song at the very end which you can hear much better).
I brought my elderly Navajo mother back here after she left Intermountain school 62 years ago. She has fond memories of her school days and seeing the remaining buildings brought tears to her eyes. Thanks for sharing the video!
This was a wonderful school, without it i wouldn't have been this smart. Graduated back in 1968 and continued on. I really missed this school, lots of memories.
My mom went to school there. She talked about it a lot. She always wanted to go back just to see what became of her high school. She graduated from there in 1965.
During the 70's, many of the Indian students joined explorer posts and circa 1975 the school hosted the National Indian Conference on Scouting for Boy Scouts Of America.
That's my old school..I love it there
Thank you for memoires ..I went to school there..1965
I went to school Intermountian Brigham city Utah back in 1965-66 good old day ahoo
I hate this. I lived in the apartments across the road from these over 10 years ago…horrible energy and locals never went there. I can’t imagine the history we will find hidden under ground in a few more years.
It was a great place to attend school and it offered opportunities we would have never had otherwise.
My dad and his older brother, both attended intermountain
Did these kids ever make it back to their parents?
Yes, they did. My brother went to school there. He came home.
Yes, I went to school there for 2 yrs.
No they all buried on campuses.
Of course we did, I attended 74-78 awesome school.
I lived in the apts on this campus for 10 years & had tons of fun with friends & family exploring all these buildings. Before they were off limits. I also had my art studio (Stars Art Studio) there in the 1990s. So many good memories. 💖🙏🏻🌟
Looks creepy
