Rule #1: Never go anywhere in LA on a national holiday
@@diggingmystyle right. Nobody wants to deal with too many crowds and traffic
@@wolfdawggg5556 Don't forget about the pollution and drunk drivers
Good thing I did not go out anywhere today, I already knew that it would be packed everywhere so I think I’m better here home with my fam and the AC 😊
I was there last weekend and it was already ridiculous with hordes of cars and people.
All these crowds do is leave their broken chairs, cans, diapers, and trash all over the river and highway. No respect for the environment.
Hopefully I’ll be able to do some cleaning soon but every summer it becomes a landfill.
I don't understand why they want to go there it's so frustrating seeing all the garbage these people leave behind
@@jeffsadon552 It’s a beautiful canyon, much like most locations in the San Gabriels. It attracts millions of visitors every year but is underfunded - so underfunded that we’re not allowing areas to recover correctly or ever. Damage is worst during the summertime and river ecosystems are most vulnerable since most people and trash end up there. Not to mention fire-risk. It’s always frustrating. Hopefully things improve sooner or later but I’m not holding my breath.
@@feliperivas3814 it doesn't require funding for people to be responsible with their trash if you can bring in you can take it out
@@jeffsadon552 I'd like to agree. But the reality is that accountability isn't going to solve everything. The crowds will come and litter.
KTLA 5 adding to the traffic
that's the media's goal, stir the pot.
Glad to be in the house 🏠 🍺 🌳
How dumb can these people possibly be?! They should’ve known better that there was going to be a lot of traffic.
Phones getting smarter, people getting dumber.
It’s because of that Azusa river video circulating on UA-cam, everyone wants to see it . Nobody goes on 39 , doesn’t help that Hwy 2 is closed , for folks seeking cooler temperatures
They are even stupider for going up the mountains for cooler temps because at least for this extended weekend, the temps are much warmer than normal up there too. Better chance to get a spot and cooler temps at the beach.
Which video?
What Azusa river video?
You can thank social media for playing out the river spot.
It's always more of a hassle to go to the beach, or theme parks on the 4th than what it's worth
yup....I made the mistake of going to Santa Monica one year and had to walk a mile from the parking lot to the beach.
Back in the day we would wake up at 4:30am and be waiting to get in by 5:15am.
I have not been there since they closed our “secret “ shooting spot. Then was not as popular, we used to camp Cristal Lake with no reservation and park anywhere with no permit.
Enjoy the traffic. People are having a great time.
Poll: Who’s getting Friday off as part of the 4th of July Holiday that your company gave you? (not counting calling in sick) thumbs up for counts
Too many people
Went to Stoddard Canyon Falls instead….best decision I could have made this weekend.
I was fine on my motorcycle no waiting for traffic 😂😂😂😂😂 suckas!
