That looked like a targeted hit just seconds earlier, cop did his job and being alone, first called for back-up, although the assumption was the driver was dying, and the assailants could be watching and circling the area. Worse than that, the victim or another occupant could've been hiding in the car and accidently return fire at the cop trying to help! RIP to the victim and prayers for her family.

No matter what, the taxpayers lose. These people sue if the cops get involved and sue if the cops do not get involved. In no case did they blame their own who actually did the shooting. Kind of like winning the lottery.

What is the department policy? She was sitting there for a long time with our aid. Why did the ambulance take so long? In addition to rising out who committed the crime in the first place.
I dont think there was much that could be done. She needed an OR and a surgeon. That deputy could not do much. Sending him to jail wouldn't do anything to bring the actual criminals to justice.
