@@djasthmatcAll I be sayin is... Us disabled people are the canary in the coal mine. And if you look at how society treats disabled people you kinda start to get the impression society either prefers they would want to have us gone, or that it can barely tolerate us. While I am not American, I will of course mention how it is over there since I have discussed it with so many American disabled folks. There is an income cap for disability welfare. It's sub minimum wage, meaning if you even earn the pitiful minimum wage in much of the US... You will not be entitled to disability welfare. Which is absurd, just because you have over 2k in assets doesn't remove the financial cost of managing and regulating a disability. It's ridiculous to even expect an able person to survive on that little, let alone a disabled person. Disabled people are far more likely to become homeless, and lets not forget that a massive share of veterans are disabled by their service. Example Gulf War vets have many degenerative disabilities because during the Gulf war blown up Iraqi chemical munitions went into the atmosphere in a trace amount, so while not lethal, it resulted in permanent and degenerative disabilities for many Gulf War vets. Veteran affairs considered these non-service related injuries because it took years for symptoms to present as they are degenerative. You can learn a lot about a society based on how it treats it's most vulnerable. Heck the 9/11 first responders didn't get government financial assistance until only a few years ago. It doesn't matter if its truama or disablement. We all need support and the lack of support leads to most disabled people having an experience with complex trauma.

I don't condone what the guy did to the child, but tell the whole story. The boy didn't just touch the emblem, he walked up to it, and broke it. The family says that they knew for many years that the boy would go out of his way to touch almost everything, yet the person handling him felt the need to disregard this fact when they were watching him. I'm sorry, but it's the family's fault. If I have a dog that's known to bite people, and it bites someone, I'm still responsible. It dosn't matter if I'm homeless or not, it's still my responsibility. End of story.
The Mercedes driver handled this situation HORRIBLY. Slapping any child let alone one the spectrum is ABSOLUTELY sickening. I’m also on the spectrum and like to touch things but that is NO reason to slap a child.

How about don't touch things that don't belong to you
@@maddogsenglishmen8020I agree, however, this is a child; who has autism and doesn’t understand what he did or why he was slapped. 1 - if that were my kid, the police wouldn’t be involved; 2 - I would have paid for damage if damage was done, had he just come to the parent and talked to them he could have solved it without slapping a kid with autism. Every car owner would react the same way, car dependency makes people angry.
I understand the driver didn’t know the kid was disabled but he definitely handled the situation horribly
He wants “justice” but society doesn’t know how to treat people with special needs.
What? Most of society have compassion if not awkwardness toward special needs people, and BASIC respect even if they fumble . No, the average person isn’t a trained professional, they have lives too. THIS, is something totally different.
@@kathymyers7279he had a point, many people don’t understand the special needs community. Many our unemployed, still bullied and seen as an “other.” Education and exposure to the special need community is much needed.
What a coward!! Slapping any child
slapping any child?it depends. this guy is a coward for doing that to this child who is autistic, but children today sometimes need to be parented by other people other than their own parents because those parents let their kids do whatever they want.

I saw the full video, although the video captured the aftermath of the incident, it was clear that the child broke the emblem that was at the end of the car by bending it.

If it was a grown man that touched his car, he probably wouldn’t have even approached.
