Hey Maverick, thanks for the info. I had bought Panracers Gravelking SK 700*50… been riding a lot 1500km and rear tire had 9 punchers in 3 weeks. Made me pretty worried since leave for BTXL next week and had no confidence in them. Of all the tyres I could get was WTB Nano 40. I remembered your review and went back and watched and thought perfect. I am not relaxed more. Thanks for the video. Hope you are well.
Hey Ron, so the BTXL next week that's great. The Nanos did really good, not one puncture in over 1500k of really rough riding. One thing though the Nanos were on the small end of the spectrum in terms of comfort for some of the rougher parts, I was sometimes wishing for 45c + tires. The more aggressive thread was great though. Have fun !
Hi, I like the video! Very informative, calm, great choice of music and precise info! Keep it up 👍
Thank you very much!
I sliced my 38 pathfinder on a rock so i tried the 40 nanos about 3 weeks ago. So far they have been great. More traction and a little bigger too
1000 miles so far and they are still going, great traction
Thanks buddy....I going to Ruta 7 patagonia Chile....i think the nano is perfect for it! Thanks!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
I have a pair of Resolute on my 650b wheelset and now I am looking for something similar for the 700c set . I am hestitating between the Riddler and this one. To be honest I read a lot of dissapionted reviews on the older type compund Riddler (leaking sidewall, wear fast on paved roads, etc) but there is not so much on the sg2 version. But even worse there is almost zero reviews on the new Nano. It’s not easy to decide.
I really enjoyed the nano but keep in mind that out of the 1200km I have on them 95% was offroad, when it comes to leaky sidewalls I saw a few people mention that sealant choice had either made or broke their experience with WTB. if you are looking for something with a proven track record both on and off road then I would personally lean towards the Gravelking SKs (especialy if you are going over 50% on road)
@@MaverickTube as the matter of fact I had a Gravelking SKs couple of years ago. i loved them, it was durable, relative fast on
every kind of terrain (the only arch-enemy was the wet ) but now I would like to try something else. I am totally satisfied with my Resolutes on offroad, and now I would like to try something which will be mainly utilized on hardpack and tarmac. Maybe I will give a chance to those new Gravelkings the SS Series.
@@gilberttiborjakub9890 after i wear down the nanos im going to try the Raddler sg2 in 700x 44
Hi, my bike is using a tube. Is this tyre compatible with the tube? Since its tubeless tyre. Would appreciate your help thank you!
Hi yes it can use both, with tubes, or tubeless.
Maverick thank you sir
Hello I saw you took the width measurement but do you know what is the height of the tire the measurement since the rim to the center thread line?
@@cesarmaradiaga5200 Hi , it is hard to take an accurate measurement of the height of the tire as it it will vary on rim width and tire pressure. what i can tell you is that on my rims, the tire highest point is about 40mm above the rim edge. so essentially 40 mm width by 40 mm height.
@@MaverickTube that's great and thanks I have rim width 19" and based in that height you gave I think I can use the tire in the rear wont touch the frame in the seat post. Thanks for advise
Cant listen to the voice due to loud obnoxious music. Dont do this.
