    The Resolute is much more better than the Riddler was. However it’s 5 mm wider and the knobbs seems more aggressive ot was way more faster than the Riddler on the same bike. I highly recommend the Resolute instead of the Riddler! The Riddler also worn incredibly fast , maybe after 500 km the wear was clearly visible .

      Indeed and agreed with my experience.

    My bike came with the old Riddler. Great tyre for dusty / dry trails, but very quickly hit its limits. It also wore out incredibly quickly (3000km). They were also a nightmare to seat on WTBs own rims!
    I swapped to G One alrounds which had similar grip and (as far as I can tell) rolling resistance, but 3000km in and you can only just start to see wear on them. No issue seating them whatsoever.

    Man, in a see of paid promotions and real weak cycling content... You're a diamond in the rough. Thanks.

    I’m Conti through and through but as the Terra series only goes to 40mm, I’m thinking about WTB for 45mm on chunkier trails. Nice vid as always.

    Loving the 37c Riddler. I have noticed quick wear on the rear tire. The center is completely gone in a short amount of riding. Great tires though.

    Woah, the weight differences vary WILDY, or am I crazy? Nano is considerably (IMO) heavier and the Riddler is even lighter (probably the same if you account for variances and error in measurement)...

    New to gravel , so tyres seem to be a nightmare so many to choose from.. would the resolute be good for winter damp and mud ? Iam running 650b so would 47 be a good size..

    • @davidarthur
      @davidarthur  3 роки тому +3

      Yes it would be a good choice for winter riding, very popular with people I know

    Good review - i'm running 650 resolutes and humming and hawwing about whether to go to sendero to get a bit more width and puncture protection. Just worried they will be a bit too draggy for fireroads / hard packed trails. Any view ?

      Given how popular tan wall is yes that is the plan but there's no timeline yet

    Can't wait till robots can ride bikes consistently. Only then can we get real tyre data. Give these youtubers any old tyre, tell them its new tech and they will tell you about how different it feels...

    • @SIvers-or2ke
      @SIvers-or2ke 3 роки тому

      The thing is, unlike you and I, guys like David get to test a lot of gear. As a result they are more sensitive to differences and can articulate those to their audiences. I would always want to hear what David has to say and I value his real world opinion. As opposed to the robot one.....because I’m not a robot either.
      Your challenge is to find a reviewer who resonates with you. Then you’ll understand.
      In the meantime I can recommend a guy called David Arthur.
      No nonsense rider who knows his stuff.
      Great bloke

    Meh, nah I'll stay away from wtb never had any luck always weeping, puncturing, not worth it at all.

      @edrcozonoking 3 роки тому +3

      how many sets have you tried to come to this conclusion? I have several WTB gravel tires (and other brands) and I really like them.

      @@edrcozonoking 2 sets + some of the guys I ride with. We switched to panaracer they puncture more often but they roll fast. Worth the trade off in my opinion. We did always ride the gumwall ones. I'm pretty sure standard black would do much better though.
