I'd never heard of Baldoni until Lively made moves to sue him. He should thank her for making him famous. Or maybe not. Maybe he should just crawl back under his rock
Me either! Only reason I know his name is because my step daughters talk about him. And now that I’ve learned more about the man it makes sense. They don’t have very good taste 😂
@ssteacup ok, let me rephrase. I'd have no idea Baldoni exists if not for the lawsuit. Never heard the guy before, don't remember seeing him anywhere, nada. Even if he's right about everything, this will blow up in his face
With Nicepool, once it was pointed out that he may be a parody of Baldoni, I just can't unsee it. Tho you are right that it is a parody and shouldn't be legally actionable. If Baldoni was defamed, he might have a case to sue Lively specifically, but the Parody isn't legally Defamation
Who the fuck is baldoni bro lmao nobody caught that reference if it was about him, nobody thought about it till his ego made him think everything is about him
thing is, I only learned who Baldoni was in the last few weeks... Nice Pool may be a parody, but he stood on his own... His differences from Deadpool, his niceness, functioned as a contrast... You're right - I can't unsee it.... but they rose above it... because it doesn't matter to the movie...
THAT is still the greatest relevant mystery of the whole issue. . . The lawsuit? Pathetic, but easily understandable. But why Thor was crying? THAT is what keeps people up at night!
@@rahbeeuh You don't sue someone for 400 million dollars for 'being mean'. And besides that, nobody would ever think that Nicepool was a reference to Justin Baldoni, he was just a stereotypical asshole, who pretends to be nice and preachy. Funny thing about these kind of lawsuits is, I had no idea who Justin Baldoni even is or was. Never made the connection, never cared. But now I do, and he will forever ever be the douchy Deadpool in my mind. Way to go Justin, Deadpool would be proud.
It looks to me like Baldoni just cemented the future of Deadpool parody jokes. If Deadpool wasn't joking about him before, he DEFINITELY will very soon. 😂😂😅
Well if this helps the law suit.. I could have NO idea that Justin Baldoni was being referenced in any way... until NOW when I hear he is SUING Reynolds pretending this was all about attacking Baldoni. This is stupid and Baldoni is stupid.

That Baldoni guy needs to check his ego. The first joke about the bones means he got stiff watching the movie over his wife and Nice Pool reminds no one of that guy, he’s just an alter ego. Holy crap!
For Ryan's sake? lol Justin's whole lawsuit sounds like it was written by a 12 year old. None of it holds any weight, it won't go anywhere. Although at this point, if Justin is going to get Disney involved, Justin's FINISHED in Hollywood. Disney don't play.

I don't understand what he'd be suing for because there's no damages. Without having any background information on the situation, nobody can put pieces together to know that it was him being parodied because he was never personally called out. If not for the lawsuit, people wouldn't even know who he was. Maybe that's why he's suing.
It's so stupid 😂😂 - nicepool references NOTHING about justin baldoni, he's just looking for a reason to sue cause blake lively is sueing him. Honestly Nicepool I thought was ryan reynolds just parodying himself tbh
@@alexandermccalla5098 Yeah, but it doesn't matter. Even if Ryan Reynolds went to court and said "Yep, it's a straight parody of Justin - I don't like him". The case would still be an open and shut case of "stop wasting the court's time".
A lawyer can confirm but defamation is almost impossible to win in court and like Charlie said we have 1st amendment rights to parody. Johnny Depp won his case because Amber Hers made very serious false accusations in a published article that cost Depp his deal with Disney and severely hurt his career. This guys case is so flimsy I can’t see it ever going to trial.

For a defamation lawsuit, there plaintiff has to show direct financial loss due to such actions, but to defame someone, it has to be direct not indirectly hinted at. Yeah, if he thinks Deadpool and Wolverine was a smear, he should wait to get on Ryan Reynolds' actual mean side. Ryan Reynolds eviscerates DC and himself so viciously and that's for fun, he's not even serious about that.
I didn’t even know this actor even existed until I watched this video. This lawsuit should be thrown completely out of court that it’s ridiculous. The first amendment applies here to comedians that pair to other people if that’s what he even did which I highly doubt he did.
First...IF he did base it, it's parody...that don't fly here. Second. Nice pool is a running online joke from Reynolds. And a running joke from the last deadpool where he went back and killed Reynoldses however you would say that. He killed the greenlantern Reynolds and the Origins Deadpool. Played by ...
