This is a fantastic video. I spent the whole weekend looking for videos on this topic and this was perfect. My mower started right up after following these instructions. Thanks so much.
You're very welcome, glad it was of help.
Briggs must have the market with those carbs. I would bet there are 10's of millions of them on the market. I watched your video on changing them. I was able to change mine out with no problem. It was really was after watching your video. Not much to it at all. Paid 17 bucks for it on Amazon. It was even a n official Briggs. Thanks for the help!!
Briggs is only on using that design. Yeah they are cheap and easy to replace. Thanks for watching and commenting as I appreciate your feedback.
Good video. Thank you so much. Very detailed. Which is what I needed.
Thank you got the mower going.
Great video. Fixed my mower thanks to you. Appreciate it!
These comments saying it helped someone both get the job done and saved money from taking it to a repair shop makes me feel good. Thank you for your feedback, please remember to subscribe so you remember who to look to for further help.
Thank you for your video. For my mower running again using your instructions!
Glad it helped you. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for posting!
Great video. I had trouble, however. I'm confident I did everything correctly... but I had fuel flooding the carburetor, filling th little cup behind the air filter, etc... which I stopped quickly with the vice grips. I mopped it up, etc. Now I'm stuck on what to do/try next.
Fixed it. I watched "Small Engine Guys" video titled " toro recycler smart stow carburetor repair. briggs and stratton 7.25 163 cc carb clean"... around the 9:25 mark, they talk about the float... and mine got all screwy while I was fiddling with the other stuff. I reseated it with the little needle pin in it's right spot and BINGO! Runnin' like a top. Thanks again.
If it's got gas running like that, the needle isn't seating properly. Check to make sure float and needle is not sticking. Verify rubber tip on needle isn't damaged.
Thank you, this is very helpful!
You're welcome, thanks for visiting my channel.
Bought a set of four metering blocks on Amazon for eight bucks swapped out in about 10 minutes. You don’t need to take the carburetor off if you have nimble fingers just the four screws and the two bottom screws for the ball and yank out your metering block and swap it out.
I am actually waiting on new ones to come, I am planning on doing a video on that. If I can get caught up on other work first
Thank you, very helpful. Can you show us how to remove the cover please?
Which cover you asking about?
@@LazyGrandpasGarage The red one - on top of the machine
@@didodimitrov27 I no longer have the mower here.
thank you
You're welcome, thanks for stopping by.
I'm having trouble getting the bottom plate off. Your demo showed it coming off easily with a screwdriver. I'm afdraid of breaking it if too forceful. Do you have any suggestions. Also, what is the hex bolt at the bottom of the plate for?
@@rogerbernard6753 some do come off very hard. The hex bolt is for draining gas during off seasons. I had bottom cover come off effortlessly, others using screwdriver and prying hard.
Great video! Can’t wait to try it on in my mower. Is there a particular carb cleaner product you recommend?
Best part about plastic carbs is you can clean with soap & water. Be sure to use something like torch tip cleaner to clean each hole.

FUCK PLASTIC CARBS!!! But god bless you, thanks for the video. I fixed mine but next time the plastic carb is going in the bin.
Nice thing about plastic carburetors is they don't require paper gaskets. Also much easier to clean.
