One of the greatest British bands live ever, i've seen them perforn live over 20 times from 1972 up to the present day most underrated bands ever.... UFO Phil Mogg - vocals Michael Schenker - lead guitar Paul Raymond - keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals Pete Way - bass Andy Parker - drums
Schenker gives a Master Class in guitar every time he creates a song. So clean, precise and perfect every time. He can give you a slow melodic run of notes then burn your face with blistering speed. Greatness overload 🤘
What a beautiful song. My generation was so lucky to grow up with this caliber of music at our fingertips and it was new and fresh. Thank you so much for the trip down memory lane. More, more, more.
Those 5 guys on that 1 night played quite possibly the best rock concert ever recorded. Schenker is just a master of making you feel exactly what he's playing 🤘
One of my all time favourite bands who I saw live 4 times. Just phenomenal, both live and in the studio, with a gigantic catalogue of music. In my opinion if you can't find a UFO song you like, you don't like music.
Just seen this film. Love the reaction. When the "Strangers in The Night" double LP was released back in 79, I walked 5 miles through the snow to buy it in Our Price records in Charing Cross Rd in London. One of my favourite albums. Sits proudly alongside "One More from the Road" by Skynyrd and "Live and Dangerous"" by Thin Lizzy. Thank you to you for reviewing this wonderful track.
Michael Schenker is a master of melody and Phil Mogg has a real soulfulness to his voice. If UFO live appeals to you then Thin Lizzy, Live and Dangerous might do as well. Also very influential on Iron Maiden, and a great number of bands who came after them.
Awesome song - The one song you would have probably heard on the radio from #UFO ‘Too Hot To Handle’. Most of their hits were before MTV so you wouldn’t have heard them there.
Rich you genuinely look totally disappointed that you have missed out on UFO. That album in my opinion is the best live album ever. You both need to listen to it in it's entirety. Thank you for reacting to one of the most underrated bands.
Totally agree on Strangers in the night. Have a listen (or another listen if you know it well) to One Night at Budokan by the Michael Schenker Group , it gives Strangers a run for the money!
Michael Schenker is the younger brother of Rudolph Schenker and both were founding members of the Scorpions... Who you are more likely to have heard of.... All that aside, Michael is STILL touring with his band the Michael Schenker Fest and he has cost me a fortune over the years! HE inspired me to pick up a guitar and as a result, I have spent many thousands of pounds (UK) over the past 40 years on Marshall amps and Gibson Flying V guitars. STILL at the top of his game!! You should check out some of his other work too!....... I would suggest the Obsession album by UFO..... Born to lose and Pack it up and go are true masterpieces!
Michael Schenker and his brother Rudy Schenker along with Mathias Jabs were the 3 guitar players with the band Scorpions. In 1973 Scorpions were opening for UFO during their tour and one night UFO's guitar player was a no show so they asked the Scorpions if they could borrow Michael to play with them so he did.The funny thing about this story is Michael is german and didn't speak a word of english but they communicated by music. After that he joined UFO as their new guitar player. He was only 18 years old and the rest is history.
Some facts : Michael was the lead in the period '70/'73, then he moved to Ufo and Uli Jon Roth joined Scorpions from' 73 to '78, then Uli left and arrived Matthias but he was not ready to record the important breakthrough album Rudi wanted so Scorpions called Michael back that in the meanwhile had left Ufo. Michael recorded basically most of all the Lovedrive album and toured with the band until March 1979. Then he finally left the band and Matthias eventually joined Scorpions becoming the lead guitarist until nowadays...
I recently rediscovered this band. Michael Schenker was one of my biggest musical influences in my teen years. Michael Schenker is still touring and tearing it up. saw him about 3 weeks ago.
Yeah he's like 66 years old, something like that and he still plays as good if not better and he actually looks good on stage in the fact that he doesn't look like an old man up there and musicians, young or his age wouldn't mind being on stage with him.
Hey guys my wife and I love the way you are with each other very sweet! We've been listening to UFO for years and the vocals of Phil moog very powerful and with Michael schenker on guitar some very sweet stuff songs like love to love lights out but there's a song on the album lights out that is stunning and sad touching and beautiful the song is called Try Me! And Phil moog and Michael schenker really touch the heart you can hear and feel the emotions of this effort and my wife and I would love to see both of your reactions especially Kels to this masterpiece we wish you both the best and never go to sleep mad at the one you love
Strangers in the night - best live Hard Rock album of all time, Schenker inspiration to Hammet, Mustaine and all other heavy hitters :) UFO one of the best Rock bands of all time, and yet you guys just discovering them now :) must be exciting !!

I saw them in 1978 during the Obsession tour at the Long Beach Arena in California. During this song they had fog at the base of the stage and on the stage and when he said "Misty green and blue, whoa to love to love you"....those particular colored lights would glow through the Misty clouds on the stage. It was awesome and Michael Schenker was like God

My all-time favorite ballad from a criminally overlooked band you know Michael Schenker was the guitar player for the Scorpions when he was 16 years old
Michael left shortly after this album's release, but you can see UFO on their last tour of the US this summer. They are still coming despite the sad recent loss of Paul Raymond. It won't quite be "Strangers in the Nght", but go see 'em anyway, it'll still be great.
Half a century. 45 years since Michael Schenker joined. Played his first gig at 11. Debuted with Scorpions at 16. After the death of Randy Rhoads, Ozzy's first call was to Schenker to replace him. Amazing musician.
My favorite!! I saw UFO with Blue Oyster Cult, Humble Pie in 1980...on the wall! Back when tickets were $8.50, and General Admission...my 4th album was UFO "Stranger..." Love you 2, and thanks for being organic and so sweet... Kel said 'Out and Aboot', so Canadian! My mum is Canadian! It's Love to Love! The piano intro, Pete Ways Bassline, and Michael Schenkers powerchords and solo, AMAZING! and the crowd screams! Michael is brother of Rudy Schenker in the Scorpions... Peace ✌💖😎

My all-time favorite ballad from a criminally overlooked band you know Michael Schenker was the guitar player for the Scorpions when he was 16 years old
Such a beautiful song bring 😢 to my eyes everytime I hear it
Michael left shortly after this album's release, but you can see UFO on their last tour of the US this summer.
Ozzy should have hired Cliff Burton and MS - :)~
best live recording of all time
The lead guitarist ALWAYS plays a Flying V (like your late son played) R.I.P.
Right on! The studio version of this on the album Lights Out is pretty epic too.
IT'S LOVE TO LOVE!!!! ALREADY!!!!!
So glad you guys discovered #UFO to use your words they have a well of awesome tracks.
Only You Can Rock Me was big on the radio at the time.
My favorite!! I saw UFO with Blue Oyster Cult, Humble Pie in 1980...on the wall! Back when tickets were $8.50, and General Admission...my 4th album was UFO "Stranger..."
Love you 2, and thanks for being organic and so sweet...
Peace ✌💖😎
Damn what an awesome concert that must have been
I have this on 8 track and vinyl. It is timeless.
This is an old album and because of that I absolutely LOVE to hear you and others doing reactions for it. This is seminal stuff ladies and gentlemen. foundational music. One of my favorite songs ever. every song on Strangers in the Night is awesome, but this is my baby.
The last great album by UFO (imo) is “the wild, the willing & the innocent” nearly 40 years later & it’s still in my all time top 10 albums.
The greatest live album of all time!
100% correct....
