    I understand needing the changes to tracking for a gameplay reason but its makes sense in lore. You do have a mobileglass thats on your person tracking your crime stat and constantly contacting coms array updating you mobiglass with information as well as your crime stat and location. Our phones do the same thing. I think turning off your mobile glass could be a way to counter this tracking.

      I like your thinking, so it's kind of like a tactical decision - not having the mobi limits you and you literally have to go off-grid if you want to be a wanted crim in monitored systems. I think a lot will change with Pyro though, so I am hopeful. Thanks for your thoughts on this, really appreciate it

      @@Lofty_o7with pyro not having law enforcement then you could just have the Coms satellite just transmit everything but crime stats seeing how the pirates would have disabled it. You could also add a form of gameplay for tracking in pyro where if you hack a coms satellite to see the previous location of the criminal your looking for so something along those lines. But you would basically remove the god tracker in pyro.

      @@justbuyintime5157 it makes a lot more sense to have the God tracker in a situation like that where you're in a monitored system so you would technically always be broadcasting your location, so I can see how the current system is intended to work, we just need Pyro!!! Thanks again mate

    I spent most of 5 years pvp bounty hunting, if they take away the marker, It will be super hard if not impossible to find your player bounty. what if one player is a bounty and they are with other players how do you who's who. trust me I love pvp hunting but even in the current stat its busted. most of the time the marker is super delayed. I have been killed so many times even with the player marker due to dsync. The nature of this game, taking away the player marker would make BH next to impossible , just being (realistic)

      I get what you're saying, I just hope they can find a good balance between making it too much like it is right now vs. too hard. Guess time will tell

      Yea I just recently started pvp bounty hunting and I've yet to make some actual contact. It's always the contract terminates cuz they die,log off or pay the fine.
      And the one time I was able to catch up to the up to the marker, the target was on at an outpost on hurston, marker was inside a safezone so I can couldn't shoot him. so I hovered just outside behind a hill inside my ship waiting for him to leave for 5 minutes, then the marker sudden'y moved 40 million Km away to some jumpgate location, I follow it, then the marker just switches another 40 km million away at grim hex. I have the video of this hunt downloaded on my pc, the desync is so bad pvp hunting is not even worth it atm, and that includes the profit made from it.

    I've tried player bounties and almost every time they just sit at Grim Hex. I usually wait for 5-10 mins and they log off or are still inside the station by then. At that point, there is no point in me sitting around and waiting.

    I think that they do intend to remove the marker. Or at least make it infrequent updates of last seen here, like if someone called it in. Just need more things in game to support it. Tracking darts and other forms of tracking in general. Without some sort of general direction though you are never finding a bounty. Space is too big. The constant marker is a bit much though. Having a motion tracker gadget to keep track of someone on foot would be sweet though.

    • @Lofty_o7
      @Lofty_o7  4 місяці тому

      I think the idea is with Pyro being a lawless system, that you won't be able to be tracked there. So if you go to Stanton, there's comm arrays everywhere that could track you - this makes it a tangible risk for criminals as they know that whenever they go there they can be tracked. I've been a criminal in this game for a good while and in my experience, even with a 3+ crime stat, it often takes a long time for bounty hunters to show up so I'm never too worried about having the marker - I often end up waiting somewhere like the wrecked Covalex station on Daymar and make them come out of their ship to fight me haha.
      I like the tracking dart idea though, or a little bug you could stick on a ship. You can do this with a mission crate and you used to be able to do it with Tigerclaws you get from missions but they don't work any more.

    • @chriscrane1482
      @chriscrane1482 4 місяці тому

      @Lofty_o7 yeah Pyro shouldn't have it at all. Just doesn't fit with that system. In Stanton I still think it should be more of a general location instead of an exact one. That would make it more interesting for everyone outside of ships. Now there is danger in being caught unaware. I'm not a criminal often but I do hunt them occasionally and that marker makes the FPS section just feel unfair. I can lob a grenade around the corner before they even know where I am.

    For me the main frustriation in bounty huntin in 3.22 and before was always a server lag. Either a fugitive recovery or bounty hunting itself - I am always so behind the marker that by the time I am anywhere nearby the player is long gone disconnected or the fugitive marker stuck at prison while real position of player far away outside. Me personally I like unexpected pvp gameplay and things like that break it for me.

      PvE will never feel or be like PvP in any game, or at least until ai can mimic humans. When the hell is an NPC going to camp in your ship to ambush and kill you? CIG can't even get normal, simple missions to work correctly.

    • @Arcwolfman
      @Arcwolfman Місяць тому

      @@-sleepy- The npcs currently are suffering due to server fps. With server meshing, we are seeing 30fps servers, and the NPCs in ships and on ground are fkin punishing. It's like fighting fkin skynet. It's super fun, and a lot of the time harder than fighting players unless they are experienced.

    There is no security personnel in intel raid bunkers, so he was probably running around with the crime stat for some time. Or there is also a possibility that he killed the player who was doing the mission, but then he would have been more aware of you trying to kill him. Medium armor instead of hevy, not aware of their surroundings, still doing their zenothreat intel raid solo, not closing the door to his ship. You my friend just killed a blissfully unaware newbe player who didn't know that he had a crimestat and what a crimestat is in the first place. You made him loose all of the loot form the bunker mission, possibly his own armor, and anything he had in the ship. You're basically griefing mate. And the developers are not helping the issue ither, its a sandbox game, we should be a ble to choose whether or not we want to participate in PVP. And the way it is right now is that you can get atcked by literally anyone, even in armiterce zone. Raah out.

    • @Lofty_o7
      @Lofty_o7  8 місяців тому

      Haha I love this. Thanks for the response mate. If CIG intend this as gameplay then the whole bounty pvp loop is basically griefing. I am an in-game bounty hunter. I hunt players for the credits, I don't care what they did. It's like that scene with Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive. Plus, if it wasn't me, then it would have been someone else anyway. At least this way, he knows another player shot him, he serves less than 30mins in prison and gets to keep his fancy Xeno gear. He also knows that killing players, even accidentally, has consequences. Granted, the game doesn't do a great job of telling you this but again, I don't really care what they did. I may, in the future, try and talk or negotiate with people for the youtube content but it is a literal mission in the game to find and apprehend these people. I appreciate your comment but it sounds like you've missed the point of what this sandbox multiplayer game is meant to be. It's a dangerous universe out there. Ignorance of a crime is not a defence.
      Oh and by the way, I don't just go around wiping players out. I only do PvP Bounty missions. That's it. That is a legitimate thing to do in this game.
