Thanks for doing the range test, I believe this is the only review online that is looking at the range for the N model. For me personally, besides the performance which can be found in all other reviews is important, but I find the consumption as important as the performance. I am surprised that with such ideal conditions, how thirsty the car is. Based on the consumption, I think I will skip the N and go for the dual motor N line. Still thinking about it. Thanks a lot for doing something different compared to all of the other Ioniq 5 N videos that got released recently ❤
@@Vincent-ld4uz The distance of a car varies depending on the driving habits of the driver. The car with another driver had a range of 340 km. If you want a high-performance car to go far, you have to use eco mode.
Kris, Maybe give this one another shot. I've taken a few road trips now, and my range going eco mode all the way and keeping a reasonable speed for most of it seems to be 350-380km. I came from a P2 Performance and get noticeably better range/efficiency in ALL scenarios, whereas you have them identical. Thanks for the reviews!
Sure, consumption is secondary with this type of car. Nevertheless it's nice to see what we have to expect from high performance EVs. One might be under the false impression they could be just as efficient as the base version
when you are out for a track focused performance car, range/efficiency isn't what you are looking for. its lap time. but you can get more range out of it. just swap its wide sticky performance tyres with skinny non sticky regular tyres. but treat the throttle very gently, bc you traded in efficiency for grip
Hello Kris, everyone, Perhaps trying to make a range test with the possibility of selectionning only one motor (example:the front motor of 166kW) in the menu would possibly decrease the comsuption???Interesting to verify for substantial buyers about this exclusive car...Thank you for the video
Ya, the most I got was 120 miles going from 100 down to 5. I seem to average 60-80 though. So very poor range. No idea where they got the 200+ number from. It gets no where near that. I basically cant road trip the car at all.
As with so many current EV's the range is frankly not acceptable for a worry free main car experience. People really should forget about spring/summer figures and think what will happen in cold winter weather. I'm waiting to see how the new Audi Q6 E-tron fairs in the range department.....fingers crossed it will set new standards. Background music ....not a good idea.
@@UgglemannenFTW .....4WD is the way to go with powerful EV's....there's no reason why they shouldn't offer decent range...it's just a matter of the tech improving ...which it will.
@@XENONEZZ2 yes that is true that AWD is better for performance but this is a performance EV its not gonna be low consumption. Its like wondering why a V8 consumes more than an v4.
Actually I think it ought to be possible even with these powerful EV's to be able to drive them in some kind of super ECO mode that limits the power down from 600 to around 200 thereby providing vastly increased range.....this is something you certainly couldn't do with a petrol thirsty powerhouse V12 !!..🙂@@UgglemannenFTW

Most supercars will regularly only do about 200 miles on a tank so relatively not that bad for the 5N
Yeah but this was 290 ish KM nog miles of range🤭
@@Vincent-ld4uz that would work out to be about 180-190 miles so on par with most supercars
Also on par with similarly powered V8 SUVs from Porsche and Lambo.

If you want a high-performance car to go far, you have to use eco mode.
Regarding the range, go for the regular Ioniq5 PE if the range matters. It now has 600km range per charging.
But I want Ioniq5N so bad.
It’s a 650 hp EV with a boxy design. What did you expect?
What have you seen one one of the nicer cars on the road look wise

It is a performance ev. It is like range testing a supercharged V8 ICE car.
Exactly this car is made for track/performance. Better to watch Misha drive it.

Car is nice. Background music ist terrible.
naw, the music ist fine but a bit too loud.
backgrnd music a bit sad😢 but awesome video 🍻
I was trying to find out where the funeral music was coming from.
Not gonna lie... I don't really care about the consumption. I want this so bad!
I'd really love to see an Ioniq 6 N :D
💥 This is my choice ! 💥
why you don't share the Excel File !!
charger was 225kw peak - the i5N will climb to about 245-250KW charge speed provided it's under 55% and battery isn't too hot (

The test was done in Eco mode, so the car is by default 2WD and should be the most efficient.
Thank you!! Good job & excellent timing for me. Take this sub!
Windy conditions can really ruin aerodynamics, at least in my experience it can make a very noticeable difference.
I wonder if wheels can be downsized looks like there’s room. Small wheels and maybe a Michelin 4S might net another 50kms
Mine will arrive this week. I did not expert the range would be this much lower than a regular ionic5

You're right - if they care about the range, they don't buy.
Its a 600 hp car, who care about consumption . Whats the difference between the most efficient ioniq5? wont be that much i reckon.
That’s true, people who want performance don’t care about range 😅😅
In another test this was about a 27km (17 miles) difference and they managed 407km (253 miles) actually (Edmunds)
I have gotten my car up in 255kw speeds.

It gets 298km from 100-0%, those are the results. Not from 63-0%.

With that amount of power, 275 tires and a permanent magnet motor at the front that can't be turned off when cruising... there's no miracles.
