😻 Yessss twist-out! Your hair is so FULL and beautiful. And yes, I experience postpartum shedding at about 9-10weeks and it was the absolute WORST! All of that hair trapped at my kinky roots-whew! I was so close to relaxing my hair bc I was STRESSED! Couldn’t get my fingers to the toot-it was just horrible. Got my good friend to finger detangling my hair and then she took detangled it. I wore it blown out for a while.

Girl, postpartum shedding. I still can't believe it. Most of the damage is the front. It was the hardest to go through. I lost my edges around 2 to 3 months postpartum. I didnt think I was experiencing it at first. I thought it was hormones. Glow while pregnant and reality after baby. My hair was falling out in chunks. Detangling was a mess. Conditioners I loved didnt cut it. About 3 to 4 washs later I realized I lost my edges. My edges were bald. I cried. I tried rice water but my favorite is castor oil and a dyi mix with mostly peppermint oil. The castor oil is from Haiti. The mix consists of amla, almond, wheat germ, mustard oil, olive, and peppermint. To be honest to me any oil will do I just add a lot of peppermint oil because my scalp loves the tingle and I strongly belive my hair grows with it. My hair started growing back at 5 to 6 months postpartum. I am 8 months postpartum and I cannot slay my edges. My hair is growing. Its much longer but my edges still need time. Good luck to you. I hope you skip this part.

I can’t wait until my hair gets as long as yours. But I honestly cannot wash my hair in four sections. It takes too long..i just wash it then detangle and deep condition in sections..

Me too. I don’t have time for the sections. It takes too long & I feel you use more product that way as well.
I wash in two sections then split it four at at the end,... save alot of time both in detangling and also wash time
Whaaaat? For me it makes washing and styling much less complicated. I feel it actually goes by faster.
@@AD-cy4vj omg same, i once tried washing with no sections and i was in the shower even longer because it just got so matted up. and I did not even pile it up on my head during washing either so i was very unsure why that occured.

Guys.... The Manuka honey masque is amazing especially for low porosity hair. I also think that her explanation made sense bc every time I use the masque I use a clarifying shampoo.

Would love the length check video. Don’t think you need to flat iron it though. A simple pull test should be fine.
Very cute. As for postpartum shedding, I had it occur between the 3rd and the 6th month. I noticed it mostly after I straightened my hair. I had it pressed by the dominicans. Congratulations on the baby and loving the hair.

With my 1st and 2nd babies (boys) I experienced A LOT. Mostly at my temples. My 3rd (a girl), I had very little shedding. Thank God! Great twist out tip! I want to do one for a wedding I am invited too so maybe I will do the twist like 3 days prior!

The products that you are reviewing are some of my favorites, I did a review on the Melanin and loved it, I am more of a wash and go person but now I am doing twistouts and the shipping here in the states is $10, I also use Cantu it is very inexpensive here. I like to wrap a few twists around a bobby pin and gently stretch them, secure them down and bonnet or silk scarf it all up.
