That's my bike! My first motorcycle and I absolutely loved that bike! I took it to NH for bike week and ended up in Canada! The ride was so smooth. The overdrive OD gear was great for riding on the hwy. Had it for 10 years before I gave it up for a Honda ST 1100. Honda made some nice bikes back then. Thanks for the ride!
Just my two cents: the revs are hanging and it could be running lean. When the bike is warmed up, check the idle screw that sits on the left side of the bike on one of the bottoms of the carburetor bowl; if the rubber intake boots arent causing a vacuum leak. I had the same problem with mine and that fixed it.
nice review! when driving a motorcycle and lets say you are going 60 mph and need to stop at a red light do you press the clutch and go down each gear one by one or hold the clutch and brake to a stop and then downshift lets say from third gear to 1st or neutral?
Good question, I down shift as much as I can, be one with the bike. The more you ride, The more you will be one with the bike, enjoy and ride safe !!!! Thanks for comment !!!
Hola, I'm considering buying a project bike ($1000) that runs but needs tires and the front brakes according to the seller. I understand that the air filters for this bike are no longer made. Do you make your own filter or are they still made?

Mine too! Bought it new in 86, loved it. Same color and rack too. This one is in excellent shape.
I appreciate the video sir!
Can’t wait to get mine this weekend
Excellent review, I’m working on getting my 1984 700s up and going as my first bike, so it’s good to hear you review it as a good beginner bike.
Excellent beginners bike but its also a bike that even a seasoned rider will forever enjoy. Its also a classic and appreciate the history.
I have the same bike!! I stalled it at a stop sign and dropped it on my leg and broke it though. But I am excited to get back into it.
@@AidanK1337 damn complete break? That’s bad luck
Just got mine started today

Pretty good observation, yeah the bike is still cold, it gets better when its warmed up.
WhatsApp a beautifull bike. I have a 700 Sabre too, but whit engine broken...
sorry to hear that, but a good Honda mechanic can put it back to life. Good luck buddy !!!
One of my 2 or 3 favorite motorcycles.
Thank you, I appreciate your comment, it is truly a nice motorcycle.
Cool bike. Any buzz from the motor in the foot pegs, seat or handle bars? I’ve been looking at these and the Suzuki 850’s.
Where did you find that rear rack?
I'm in Foster City too, & have a 84 VF1100s Sabre! Mine won't rev past 6k, what shop will work on it?

try ebay or K&N filters
Got an exact copy
Better do the oil pressure mod before it blows up
That headlight should be round😊
I didn’t like mine that much, top heavy to me. That and I died on it.
If you're thinking of selling your bike, I'm a buyer.
