Solving the Storage Dilemma for Pool Inflatables

Finding storage options that are long enough for the pool inflatables seemed a rather difficult task. If i found one that was longer in size, in was shorter in height and wouldn't hold pool inflatables fully inflated. In times like these, we just have build something that fits our needs. My first goal was to have a fairly inexpensive build and wanted to maximize as much space as i could get. I also considered that if the storage box is too tall, I wouldn't be able to reach the items at the bottom - thats where the drawer comes in. The drawer would work for skinnier items like noodles, balls for the water, and possibly smaller cleaning tools. I wanted the storage box to blend in vs. stick out like a sore thumb. Using picket fence not only help make this box blend in with the fence but it was also cheaper material to use. I also knew that mold and mildew can be a problem with pool supplies which led me to build something that would allow air to pass through, but wanted to avoid bugs from entering my box. All of those features led me to this design of an XL deck box for storing pool supplies and inflatables.
