Can somebody explain why this girl has so many haters? I came by chance to this tune about two weeks ago hearing a Brother Strut cover (my favorite) and then heard the original. I love this version. I've heard the studio produced version, and thought it was good. But this version is great - raw, real, gritty. everyone who is hating, just shut up, she doesn't use autotune in the studio and when she's performing live, this is how she wants it. she changes the way she sings any song live. she can hit the notes perfectly if she wanted to and she doesn't have elipsy or seizures, it's just her way of dancing around to the music, just accept it. she even said that she dances around like gollum in one of her vevo lift videos and she's almost embarrassed about it. her mum (sonja yelich) would call you all disgusting for saying that. if you don't have anything nice to say, shut up. ella (lorde) is dealing with death threats and people dissing her every single day. would you like it if random people were giving you death threats and disses each day? no, i don't think so, so shut up.

Totally. I just never saw any new artist coming out who was soooo incredibly all-around artful. Her melodies alone are simply mind blowing! So simple and still so new. I wish I could figure out how to get that kind of talent! I like her songs so much that I'm afraid to listen to them to often lol
I hate that people are ridiculing her for her hand movements and looks. Movement during preforming music is common with most passionate musicians, its the creative side of the brain taking over, they can truly 'feel' the music! It shows that they aren't holding themselves back! and so what she has pale legs, (the lighting isnt perfect in some angles which doesn't help) just because she hasn't dived into a pool of fake tan like the majority these days, you should respect the fact she is comfortable in her own skin. We'e all entitled to our own opinion, this is mine. if yours is constructive do everyone a favor, and keep it to yourself!
