The original base model was just a stripped down tin can though. Few people bought the base model, they bout the upgraded trims. I don't think they ever expected to sell many bases. It was just for the purpose of putting out a super low price point to get people interested.
Probably the best vehicle Ford makes at the moment. Even with the price hike it's still a fantastic truck especially with the new AWD Hybrid powertrain available and the fuel economy still around 40 MPG. The normal FWD Hybrid is still available as well as the performance LOBO model. Many people are losing interest in full sized pickup trucks at the moment with the exorbitant price tags and fuel costs combined with the unwieldy size becoming tiresome to some people. 😎🇦🇺👍

I ordered a Maverick in July 2022. By the time it arrived in January 2024 it was $5500 more than the price when I ordered. Ford did make me a “private offer” of $3000. I told them to keep it. With all the issues that the Maverick has been having I think I made the right choice.

By the time it arrived at the dealers 19 months later the price had increased to over $32,000. Those 19 months gave me time to see all the problems people were having with their Mavericks. Not withstanding the issues Toyota is currently having with the Tundra and the new Tacoma I wish Toyota would build a direct competitor to the Maverick. They could use the same hybrid power train that they have been using for years in their other vehicles. They already have a platform they could use. Something from Toyota would really cut into Maverick sales. Just a couple years ago dealers were marking the Maverick up $10-15K. Now I see they are discounting even the hybrids.
Really wish Toyota would bring out a competitor to the Maverick and price the base model in the low $20,000 range with the top model ( TRD ) being priced in the low $30’s.

Knocking a truck because it has 20-30 less HP than the competitor, It doesn't have soft touch material, infotainment screens are a little smaller. None of these things are what people actually care about. Price and reliability are at the forefront. Keep highlighting "flaws" and they will eventually "fix" them along with a higher price tag
I’ve drove this truck and the Santa Cruz both mid level trims as rentals while traveling for work. I like the looks of the Maverick better but the Santa Cruz is higher quality on the interior and felt faster.
Prices are leaving what this truck was meant to be an affordable truck for people. Like the infotainment screen I hated that stupid screen with that hole next to it. Still not a Fan of the interior color but it’s alittle better.

The Maverick refresh is a much more upgrade than last time when the Maverick came out. And now seeing the interior technology upgrade is more much better as what customers were complaining about with its tiny hole next to it, which literally is beyond annoying. And lastly the pricing is now being the F-150 pricetag is a bit a no-brainer to figure purchasing one. But the truck Maverick seems fine to afford a truck like this.🙌🏻
I drive a 2022 maverick I bought for 27k after taxes and dmv brand new. I couldn’t imagine trading it in for a new version with less horsepower for almost 10k dollars more than the original. It’s great that they have awd on the hybrid now and it’s a step in the right direction but I couldn’t imagine my truck with less power. I don’t think I’ll be trading it in on a new version. Hopefully the power figures change on the next round because I really do like my maverick. And I love that eruption green color.

Just like most modern vehicles, the steering wheel has inbuilt volume control on it. You'll notice it on the lefthand side at the bottom. Volume down, volume up, and mute from left to right. So, you really don't need access to the knob.
Dont think the tremor ever had a 4000lb tow capacity due to the suspension. I assume its the same for the upcoming model. Would love to see the hybrid powertrain in the tremor as weird as that sounds.
On the hybrid, is the AC ran off the ICE or is it an electric compressor? I’m in south Texas. The AC cutting off when the ICE isn’t running isn’t an option.
Kinda sucks to see this huge price increase, but if ford is gonna artificially keep quantity made low, I’d rather the price increase than insane markups. The 19,995 maverick reminded me of the 29,995 Mercedes CLA when it came out. Exciting to see a car priced that low, until you tried going to dealers lots and realized it isn’t as cheap as you thought.

So the whole point of the Maverick was a low cost truck that got fantastic fuel economy.... Okay! So now the prices have escalated on all trims . Here's what Ford did wrong AGAIN ! They should have left the XL untouched with the exception of the interior infotainment screen, that little screen and "cubby box" next to it was unusable! And left the price alone. Then on the subsequent higher trims add more of the improvements and then they could start inching up the price, notice I said INCHING, not by thousands ! The Off-road version Tremor should Never be made! This is a mini truck, and nothing they did to the tremor makes it a great off road truck, nothing ! Finally the Lariat should have been the top of the line model, and inside it should BE a top of the line model. Ditching the hard plastic for soft touch surfaces, and the weird color schemes for a more refined modern color palette. Not having Ventilated front seats, and a better interior, misses the mark for anything in the "Lariat" trim class. Ford ,it's called standardization ! All Lariats should have the same level of trim and comfort inside, just as all levels of XLT should be the same, and all levels of XL - should be the low trim work truck. I know they sell like hot cakes now, because mostly small businesses use them and people that occasionally need a truck like vehicle, but to me , this was another Ford "swing and a miss" !
I want a normally aspirated V6 with manual 6 spd rear wheel drive and no touch screens. Does this truck even exist? I am ready to buy a simple, small truck that is under 30K. Where do I find one?

Adding a larger infotainment screen that Ford already uses in other vehicles, didn't cost Fore 2300 dollars, trust me.

Ac is always on regardless of ICE. It uses no fuel like a regular car. Only some old hybrids had that issue.

I want a normally aspirated V6 with manual 6 spd rear wheel drive and no touch screens. Does this truck even exist? I am ready to buy a simple, small truck that is under 30K. Where do I find one?
