Thanks John for the tutorial. As yet Ive been afraid to do weathering on my expensive loco’s for fear of making a mess of them but you’ve made it look simple!

@@anfieldroadlayoutintheloft5204 thank you, this was planned very quickly, I normally plan them a bit better, people keep asking for more videos..the camera angles are a bit difficult when doing the weathering so my head got in the way and spoiled it a bit...but glad you enjoyed it

Yes please more videos of the railway .In my view its one of the nicest out there and not operated by a computer . Your old TMD layout with the 2 sheds has influenced me to do a similar project .

A really nice job, JayBee, in weathering your 67 loco. I'd like to ask, is enamel paint better for the streeking, or can you use acrylics to obtain the same results? Plus, when doing the sides on this engine. How did you do the streeks with that corrugated panelling and get it into the recesses of it? Cheers, JayCee.

I will be honest, as I stated in the video Enamel paint is my medium when it comes to weathering...I cannot vouch for the quality of the streaking with Acrylic paint....i think personally it would be to watery when doing the fade and drag....but hey, I'm happy to be put right....regarding the sides...I don't streak the corrugated sides on the 67 or class 66....I do however with some do the panel line wash into any ressesed panel lines...and will will streak slightly the cab sides....maybe one day I should weather a loco in Acrylic paints and see how it comes out, cheers mate, JB
