Harold Road full running session, 00 Gauge modern image layout
After Two Years...Harold Road has its first full running session, full signalling and multiple camera angles..also layout mock Drone shots of the entire layout...PLEASE NOTE there is music accompanying the film as loud background noise from people within the house and main road traffic noise outside...there is no need to comment below it was the only way I could publish the 54 minutes of filming....

Totally agree with you on your little rant about rivet counters. Personally I have, as yet, not had any comments of the sort you talk about, but friends have. It's your layout, you built it, so do what you wish with it. I would delete the comment and then block that account. Some hate my Innocent Tales of Piddle Folk channel, it's for fun only, if you don't like it, stop watching it and stay away. Unfortunately some people just love to be complete arseholes because they are jealous. Chin Up and delete them.

@@HaroldRoad Oh wow, its wider than it looks, so much detail going on it's deceiving. I am changing from N Gauge to OO and only have 2ft Depth on one wall and 18ins depth around the rest.. I am building it onto the existing N Gauge baseboards that are already done. Will be a challenge with a Foot Less than you to play with.

Fantastic layout I particularly like the use of bi-directional lines and all the signaling to give you so many movement options defiantly one in the eye to the rivet counters out there. A layout can be fun to run and prototypical too, if being prototypical is more important than just enjoying your hobby and playing trains that is

Hello John, I have just bought the 57601 Windsor Castle and I was a bit concerned it might be a problem by some reviews. It is a cracking loco, here is my findings with the loco to go with your review, for anyone interested in this loco. Mine does not take off quickly as yours did, it can really do a good crawl, I am DC only with a Gaugemaster Model D transformer. Another UA-camr had problems with loco stalling when running slow, I have not. Top light not illuminating! yeah a bit of a downer but the two other are fine and light up even running very slow, unlike some manufacturers. I have 19 various Heljan locos some with bulbs so having LEDs is great. Over scale? looks good to me. Greasy buffers I was thinking not a good idea but I really don't notice them when loco is running. I'm not impressed with the silver around the 4 vents and exhaust ports, I have modified that. I really don't like kinematic couplings as they cause derailing and thank goodness Heljan have kept to the old fashioned system. I paid £136 for mine from TMC with free delivery, so a great deal. Finally to sum up if any one is wary as I was (I should not have been as I have loads of Heljan locos, wagons and coaches which ALL run great) get one, it is brilliant. Thanks John for doing the comprehensive review, it forewarned me exactly as to what I would receive, Bill.

I agree .I dont give a monkies about sprung buffers. Great video even though class 67s are not in the era I am doing. . Best tip I can give to boost confidence is to practice on old loco bodies obtained for a couple of quid at swapmeets and the like.
