$2100 dollars later, feel a bit duped to be frank. The delivery arrived with in a damaged box. Inside, there was litterally chaos. I order some cute red wheels and they included the original wheels, what was I supposed to do with those? I didn't order the 360 Hand Rests, but that is what I received. I also received and additional back panel and two, slightly different elemax massage/heat/cool units. One was more pillowly if you would, with a couple of straps that I have no idea the purpose of. All the parts were scattered around the box, the assembly kit with the screws was broken open and scattered around the box, some missing due to the holes in the packing box. There were scratches on the chrome and the back panel had some scraps on it. I reached out to customer service and they did send me another assembly kit. I forwarded them pictures of the damage and they said they would refund $100 for that. It's been three weeks and no refund at this point. It literally seems this was a returned unit and they just through into a box and added various extra parts. I asked how I could I return them, they never provided me with shipping label or instructions to do so. The seat itself, is not super comfortable and it takes a little bit to get used to. The Elemax cooling/massaging system doesn't really provide much and becomes a bit irritating to be honest. Kept on thinking about sending it back, however I missed the window and now I have to live with this. That's on me . I believe you need to order/pay for a return kit. For 2K, I would expect much more. I would suggest going to one of the relax the back stores and try one out or even hit up Office Depot or furniture stores and try the competitors. I feel like a fool to have spent this kind of money on this chair.
Purchased an X chair 5 years ago. It stills looks as good as the day I bought it. Prior to that I purchased the white pletherette pleated $300 chair that all office supply stores sell. Their life expectancy is two years.
Their ad says their tech is "light years" ahead of the others. Makes me wonder about their tech when they don't even realize "light years" is a measure of distance...not time. DOH!!
Which office chairs are worth the money? I got a Leap V2 new that bottomed out by the 2nd year. The flexible grid structure of the seat pan ended up creating pressure points. For something with a bunch of plastic and thin foam pads that has gotten progressively worse each year, it was definitely not worth it. I think a used "high-end" office chair may be the best buy, which is how I find myself here, looking for chairs.
