I was definitely getting dolls I wasn't in love with when I 1st started collecting a few years ago. But I've learned now, which ones are my favorite. Which ones I know I can wait for a sale. Which ones I can pass on. I'm dipping my toes into customizing, redoing faces, etc. There's something about a brand new doll....but sometimes you can get the same thrill of the hunt with finding used dolls at thrift stores & making them pretty again. 😍

When it comes to Bratz, I only buy the lines I really love, but when it comes to OMG, I have to buy every single doll… maybe because they are all different and not a bunch of repeats of the core 4?… But I buy OMG dolls only on sale now
as u were talking i realized exactly why i don't like keeping them in box: it's capitalism winning over the purpose of toys - play. but i think if adults want to keep dolls in boxes, they need to unbox them and have custom new boxes which have no brand art so it's more personal and chic, like those japanese dolls in cases 🖤

Yea, I love RH & SH ! ....but I'm totally passing on all the new ones. No slime, no swim, no Junior high. Maybe on clearance. The faces are pretty, but the rest ....😬
I personally dont care that RH is adding a line for 4+ year old kids, Barbie and MH are pretty much doing the same thing, making lines for adults and kids separately. I'm out of space for dolls anyway, so im not buying any dolls at all 😂😂
