This is really lovely to see! As Krøderbanen is able to pull off these logistics (four trains? & fully staffed line), they clearly have volunteers to do so - a good sign for times ahead.
That said, are there plans to trick a “rich uncle” for having track work done? I’m certainly no specialist, and haven’t seen it up close for four decades, but the trackbed seems to be in need of some love & hard work. Fine grained ballast is great for grass, less so for wooden sleepers and light railstock.
I wish I lived closer to Vikersund, but again - these volunteers have all the knowledge I certainly don’t. I’m so happy to see the line operating so well, my thanks for creating and sharing…! 🔥😊

Going by it's size and limited coal and water capacity was number 11 originally a shunter? I live not far from Leeds where it was built even Nearer to York and the railway museum. 2 brilliant locomotives and those coaches are amazing! Also what a stunning location the line has. Thank you for the video!!!!

According to Krøderbanen's website at njk.no it's a class 7a shunter, yes. 225 is a class 21b light universal machine.

7a no 11 was built as a shunter for the first railway company in Norway. Norsk Hovedjernbane. Between Christiania (Oslo) and Eidsvoll. There are two locomotives preserved in this class. Number 25 is at the National Railway Museum in Hamar.

@@harrikolanrailways9829Thank you for the reply. Fascinating history!! Such a beautiful location for the obviously well loved locos to be run in!
