I have been an S&W revolver shooter for over 70 years. I have only owned one semi-auto from S&W and that was a .380 EZ. I wasn’t impressed and soon traded it for a 2” Combat Masterpiece. I have shot Glocks for some time because the GSSF has so many matches in Michigan. I am not a fan, but own several and have been using a 43X for cold weather edc. After watching several videos on the Compact carry comp I decided to try one. I had never shot an M&P so I rented one and found the flat trigger suitable so I bought one. I really like the sights and have bought 8 more magazines and intend to install one of my red dots and use it in PPC Service matches now that they started allowing optics. I have a Glock G45MOS but couldn’t bring myself to carry it at a PPC match. I have only shot the 2.0 about 200 rounds, but it has been flawless. This gun meets my expectations from S&W.
I’m loving what they are putting out. I do wish they made a metal compact. I’m a sucker for all metal. Going to order the full sized metal and the BG2.0 this weekend

Bingo. The barrel is backbored so the rifle portion is the 3.875 but the overall length would be closer to a regular four and a quarter gun. There may be something legally that they have to give that length on the box I don't know.
@@ryanusa860 I have rented the m&p performance center 10mm 2.0 twice since it came out lol. I would buy it eventually as I like the features on it out of the box . I have the full size Metal version. First a few complaints. For $1,000 I would expect better than a cardboard box and only 2 magazines. Also, for a performance center gun I would have hoped for a better trigger. On the plus side the gun shoots very well. It is much softer shooting than my Sig AXG Legion. As to the comp ( port actually) not spraying gas, that is not what they are referring to. They are, I believe, talking about a redesign of the loaded chamber indicator to help keep the optic clean.
Great video, I'm thinking of getting the new one with the comp but the 4.0 barrel length I think it's not the PC. I love my S&W Equalizer but I just don't like the backstrap safety and will trade in for new one.

Fellow lefty here. At 8:11 it looks like you tried to drop the slide with the slide stop, but it didn't work. Is the slide stop still not functional as a release on the right side of the pistol for lefties? I was hoping S&W would fix that on these newer pistols.
Ok just bought one Monday. Shooting the exact same ammo. About every 5th shot it doesn’t cycle the next round. Switched to different ammo (2 different brands) same issue. Stripped down cleaned several times. Sending back to Smith tomorrow. Also tried different grain ammo. Thoughts???

The barrel length on the box refers to where the rifling ends because of the comp milling
3.875 is the rifled portion of the barrel, ends before the comp hole. 4.22 is the total length all the way to the muzzle.
