I have a theory: Sgt. Pepper's Inner Groove may be an excerpt from Carnival Of Light. And I say this because according to Paul himself, it's The Beatles doing anything with sounds, and that's where the Inner Groove could be from.
The ending of mister kite 100% is, a 5 second snippet of COL plays at the end of something from the love album. You can hear the exact same bell sound from it at the end of mister kite. COL plays as well in vortex from Paul's Liverpool sound collage and at the part of rev 9 where you hear a radio frequency and you can hear piano bashing and John laughing dementedly. Some parts of what's new Mary Jane maybe parts of COL too but don't know for a fact. I am certain though that the loops from only a northern song and the loops from I am the walrus are as well.
Paul saying that the new song he is releasing will be the final Beatles song (which we all assume will be Now and Then) makes me worried that therefore we will never hear Carnival of Light!
Carnival Of Light wouldn’t be a new song like Now And Then, it’s just an unreleased one, they are going to remixing and remastering all their other albums anyway so Now And Then isn’t the last we will ever get from the Beatles, it’s just their final song

No other instance of the FOUR of them going avant garde. Paul and Ringo weren't involved neither in "Revolution 9" nor in "What's the New Mary Jane?". And "You Know My Name (Look Up My Number)" was a musical parody or farçe, not avant garde musique concrète at all.
I can guarantee you that normal Beatles fans would not like Carnival of Light. Those who don’t like Revolution 9 will not like Carnival of Light. The song was recorded for the Million Volt Light and Sound Rave which were organized by the International Times underground newspaper (also known as IT, and as the organizers of the UFO club) for January 28th and February 4th of 1967. You can find posters and little blips about it in things like IT, so it’s definitely not a hoax as some claim.
I'm disappointed. I heard something labelled Carnival of Light / Beatles here on YT a few years ago. If I remember correctly (which I might not) I thought it was quite good. But then, I like Revolution 9. Anyway, I'm disappointed if it turns out that wasn't it. I'm curious though. When you say people have released 'their versions' of it, do you mean they heard the original somewhere and did some sort of imitation/ cover, or did people make up their own version of what they imagined it might have sounded like, without ever having heard the real thing? Or, did they just put out any old rubbish, for YT clicks? (Seriously, I avant garda clue about it all either, George...)
