I love this and I love how you showed how you "messed up". That whole thought process is how we learn. In the end, this bunny is DARLING! Makes me want to do some crafting today!
Tracy, thanks for the tips and not editing out the "oops" ones. You are so real and makes us feel like we can do this. I like the spacer tip to make the rows even. Beautiful bunny,
It's adorable. I love how easy you made it look. I have a few wooden pieces around that are smaller. I should start with those before I venture into a bigger piece. You're so inspiring. Muriel
Happy Friday!! Yes, I make painting mistakes - B U T I share my tips and tricks of covering them up and I can teach you too! Thanks for watching the tutorial. xoxo! edited to add - see the Easter Wreath I made using this adorable little bunny --> ua-cam.com/video/vtEDvz0U36M/v-deo.html
The bunny turned out so cute! The splatter paint was really popular in the latest 80's early 90's! Love how it adds to the finished result. Thank you, Tracy!
Girl, I thought the project was CUTE even with the bleeding of the paint!😄 BUT, you're doodling sure took it to the whimsical land of SUPER cuteness! TFS your tips and tricks....AND keeping it REAL! Have a great weekend! HUGS!
WOW this came out ADORABLE!!!!! I really loved how you shared your mistakes and the corrections that you made!! You have definitely inspired me to try this technique out!!! Thank you for sharing!!
I love your "bombed", video! You were able to adapt and overcome like a true crafter! Thank you for your generosity in sharing! The bunny turned out super cute- as all your projects! I was thinking that a pastel Sharpie would be nice to use as well! Thanks again! God Bless You!
Good morning Tracy I love love love how you did your bunny! And thanks for showing us how you learned by mistake. I made the same ones you did only I havent tried it again. I now know it's not something I just can't do. I'll be trying this again. So thanks so very much for sharing your first try and teaching us. Have a fabulous day. God bless
I love your video's!! Love tge fact you left the mistakes for us to see to let us know...hey it's alright to make mistakes it is an easy fix. Love the outcome..could not even tell any mistakes were ever made and fixed.
I totally agree with Noreen, we also learn from your mistakes as well as our own. I did take tole painting 4 a while n the person who taught the classes came around, observed our painting "TOLD" us what we did wrong not show us even a correction. My 1st pic was good til I put leaves on, they just sat on top of everything! I was so disappointed, wish U were my teacher then. 😁
I make signs and door hangers etc and I made a couple buffalo plaid which was challenging but fun. I find that no matter what I do tape can peel up your paint and vinyl adhesive will leave a sticky residue no matter how wet or dry it is. I limit the use of both. I am going to try sealing it in between to see if that will prevent peeling and other issues. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Tracy! Thank you for this tutorial. Are there mistakes in art? ;) It's good you shared how you fixed things and how you would do it different next time. Keeps me aware of what I need to do to make my project as perfect as I can.
Tracy your to hard on yourself 🙂 you did a fantastic, beautiful job it looks great! 😍 thank you for showing us how to make this adorable checker pattern can’t wait to make my Granddaughter this checker bunny!😇
Thanks for sharing...even the boo boos...that would be me also...better keep a sharpie marker close by :psst....I actually like the added sharpie lines better than just crisp pink squares :)
So i did 3 bunnies and the middle color i had to mix. Ugh. I won't do that again. I will make sure I have 3 bottle colors in case of touch up and not trying to mix again! .i had the same problem with paint running and I having to touch up my squares.I think my blue painters tape was old and reusing it caused the paint to bleed too, because it wouldn't have adhered well. Since i did mine in the buffalo black/gray-a sharpie isn't going to fix (smile) SOOOO i'm back to the drawing board and thinking of A. painting and cover with scrapbook paper or B. fabric. I will sand my bunnies and try a coat of paint to see how the top layer feels first. This was my first time too. Thanks for sharing!! I think i should of done one before attempting 3, but I'm always thinking of assembly doing to have extra to give away.... Love yours in the pink plaid --I know i have paper in that color for back up. (smile)

Thin the paint with water to make it "ink" consistency. Take a stiff brush, like a stencil or old tooth brush and a toothpick or wooden stick. Rush across the brush to "splatter" the paint. Hope this helps. xo! Tracy
I love this and I love how you showed how you "messed up". That whole thought process is how we learn. In the end, this bunny is DARLING! Makes me want to do some crafting today!

I have learned that you let the layers dry very well and the coat with a thin spray of top coat or varnish.

What kind of wood is this cut from? I want to make one
Hi Patricia ~ here is a link to the bunny cut-out. I get them at Hobby Lobby. www.hobbylobby.com/Easter/Crafts/Craft-Supplies/Sitting-Bunny-Wood-Wall-Decor-With-Pom-Pom-Tail/p/80672565
What is the best way to splatter paint?
Thin the paint with water to make it "ink" consistency. Take a stiff brush, like a stencil or old tooth brush and a toothpick or wooden stick. Rush across the brush to "splatter" the paint. Hope this helps. xo! Tracy
Oh ok. Very cool!
💘
I like it
Tricky
I love this but you said it took you yrs of practice, I don't think I have that many yrs left to learn.
😍
