  • There was a question that literally nobody asked me:
    What does the extra $400 get you between the Goruck Guerrilla X GRXC1 and the GORUCK Bullet Ruck 15L 500D?
    Well, I answered it anyway with my thoughts on the matter!
    Edit** Main zipper is a #10 YKK on both***

    Boy, you really put it in perspective when you said you can have the Bullet AND GR2 for the price of the Guerilla bag.

      Been thinking about that video for a while. I'm not very good at "slings" in general so it's been a bit of a battle. What would you like to see me cover in it? And thanks! You've been around since the early days ;) haha.

I'm definitely interested on your takes for slings with lead than 5L capacity! And thank you! I always prefer your videos over Chase Reeves or George defined, I love your enthusiam for each bags!

    Another great video! I’m loving the 26l GR2. The 500d 1050d for bottom is great combo. I’m testing out the Cobra which is great too but seems like less capacity and bottle pockets really tight (maybe will loosen up). Which u prefer? Also u forgot to to show bullet with packing cube u mentioned. Sorry I’m a bag nerd

    • @jtinseoul7041
      @jtinseoul7041  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks! I definitely think the GR2 26L is one of the best bags I've ever used. Love it. The Cobra, I also like but it feels a bit stiff for my liking. Hopefully it will break in a little. I don't tend to use bottle pockets, but, they are definitely flat ha. For me they are both great but if pressed I'd take the GR2 I reckon. And on the Bullet, I ended up editing it out because I didn't think the packing cube was full enough to make it a fair test. What I tend to do though, if I wanna take the bullet on a short trip is put that packing cube open in the bag as I showed it in the video and lay the Wiredopp on top. Makes the camera a difficult thing to fit in there though. If I didn't need my camera it's definitely doable for a weekend trip.

    The insinuation is killing my buzz on my GR1XC1 decision. You were so psyched about the GR1XC1 at first. Now that the hype has worn off, would you buy it again? It seems like you're saying no for value for the money but maybe yes if you like Dyneema and cost is no object.
    Loving the videos by the way.

    • @jtinseoul7041
      @jtinseoul7041  3 роки тому +4

      I guess I meant more like.. for the average person (non bag-nerd) they won't really appreciate the "value" of the more expensive bag. I like the bag a lot, and kept it to use when I could have sold it. I love the patch, but again, not something many will see value in. I also really like Dyneema and the feeling and sound of it. That won't be the case for everyone. For me, I'm happy with it and yeah, I'd buy it again. There are a couple of things that annoyed me since the initial couple of weeks. The zippers being a pain is a big one but as long as I'm "clicking my heels" they are fine. The second annoyance is this irrational fear I have that my cats are going to attack and ruin the bag. It makes it difficult to like.. just throw it on the sofa kinda thing? Otherwise, it's a great bag and it IS my favourite iteration of the GR1. Worry not, if you're enjoying it it is a great bag. Just be careful of sharp clawed creatures ;)

    Although I am mostly a bag nerd I cannot see the need for the X collaboration, especially when you factor in duty, shipping and the dollar conversion to Canazuela dollars. It becomes around a thousand bucks for a fancy GR 1, crazy! In fact I was just offered one already in Canada for $1200!!! I declined this generous offer, of course.
    I came late to the Bullet train, I never thought it would be as useful a bag as it actually is but now I use it all the time, often instead of my GR1 26L bags or my GR 21L Huckberry slick.
    Again, I appreciate your laid back unpretentious style and insightful observations and commentary.

      Thanks as always! Very much enjoy and appreciate your comments. It's an expensive bag and if I weren't a fan of that "crunch" and the top pocket I'd tend to agree. I don't regret my decision to buy it, although shipping and duty to Korea isn't bad really. It would end up being around $575. Still, a ton of money for a bag but not as crazy as a grand for sure! Whether I wanted one or not my wife would have killed me if I paid that for one. The bullet is a great bag for the price. It's just so easy to grab and go. I compare it to like riding a bicycle to the park instead of taking a car. Just quicker and easier, if not as "fancy" ha.

    • @jtinseoul7041
      @jtinseoul7041  3 роки тому +2

      Think that sorta depends on who is using the bag. I tend to prefer them to be like this because the breathability bits end up getting pilled and gross after a while. That said, certainly helps in summer although I don't sweat a whole lot anyway. The Alpha One Niner bags are great for breathability if that's important to you ;)
