Hi, Thanks for the sweet story. I met your grampa at a couple of Bay Area Cons, in the '90s. I found him to be a charming man, filled with great stories. I have the book, signed by him. There was talk of me sculpting the master for a model kit of the Sun Demon, but nothing came of it, unfortunately. I first saw the movie on our afternoon horror show, on the San Francisco ABC affiliate, KGO 7. At the time, I was obsessed with the Aurora monster models and thought that a "reverse werewolf" was just the coolest idea ever!
What a great story! He was ahead of his time with all the comic conventions. So glad you had the opportunity to meet him :)

So Robert Clarke is your grandpa? That is cool! I would've loved to listen to his stories. Whenever I'm watching a movie I have a habit of looking up information on the actors and actresses. Everything I read about Robert Clarke indicated that he was a decent, well-respected man. I've enjoyed all of his movies that I've seen. You must be very proud of him.

Yay! I'm so glad! I was wearing it once while stopping to get gas in Mesquite, Nevada on my way back to Utah. A guy stopped me in and said, "That shirt is so cool. What is it?" I replied, "It's my grandpa." and I left the conversation like that. He just stared at me with his mouth open.

Ray Eisenstein My grandma married him after her husband (my biological grandpa) passed away when my dad was 5. He is technically my step grandpa, but he is the only grandpa I knew.
