I don't think that the guy who got to space 1st should get Credits because the people who manufactured and tested the equipment were the people who actually got him up there in the 1st place
I wonder when it will be in the interest of everybody to start removing items in space that are not used. Maybe they just rely on orbit decay now and it's just good enough?
@@Akathepriest I don't think pointing a powerful laser in random directions in space would be a good idea lol let three different alien species know exactly where we are like a beacon
Lockheed Martin does pretty much everything space related in Littleton, Colorado. A lot of stuff that used to be done in Sunnyvale CA has since moved to Colorado, including their Fleet Ballistic Missile Program.
What are the surveillance capabilities of this satellite? Is it capable of surveying individuals, or groups of people, crowd control, mass surveillance? During important weather conditions, sure they can provide real time statistics, but is that the whole story? What else is it capable of? How else will it be used? Lockheed Martin is an arms/defense company afterall with major political ties, no?
I am pretty confident that this isn't a spy satellite. First off, the instruments are designed for a specific use, and certain parties will have access to these instruments. This means that any data the Govt might want to use would have to be measured, and transmitted all whilst they block the scientific users of the satellite. Also, the US already has plenty of spy satellites already in non-geostationary orbits (LEO) which gets a more detailed view of the earth's surface whilst covering more ground. Due to this satellite being in geo-stationary orbit, it would have to have very powerful instruments which are not designed for tracking weather in any way, and would only be able to look at one, very specific location on the planet, not ideal for when you need to track global activity. Last of all, due to the weight requirement of emplacing these much more powerful instruments, it would be taking away from the capability of the weather instruments, and therefore would simply be far more economical to launch an actual spy satellite that has an unknown orbit (and therefore location) to do your tracking.
If you work at one of these weapon factory's now's a good time to go on strike and demand $400 dollars a hour. Actually while you're at it just demand that you get paid in solid gold and silver.
Dang, I feel bad for whoever this satellite fella is
Love this video. Thanks for these Space videos!
The videographer took some really cool shots.
I demand satellite rights. No to torture

That was fun. I had my interest in space rekindled recently. GO SPACE
Why this feels. Like a real estate tour
At 3:28 I thought you were going to say “In space - no one can hear you scream”
Great behind the scenes insight

We don't have the funds to do it that's why
@@user-jq5bs8ij1u we have the funds it's just not worth it, what money is there to be made in space trash removal?
@@TheRandompaint Well the space force says their gonna start paying people to remove it. so thats one way to make money.
I could see lasers being used to de-oribit or burn up small pieces of junk.

How do you ground the satalite?
Big brother will always have his eye on you now
Doesn't Lockheed makes space stuffs at Sunnyvale CA in bay area?

They also make their missiles and test them here in Tucson AZ
