  • The bees finally made it back from California. One of our two truck loads was held up due to late blooming almonds. I was upset and nervous for the bees at the time, but it turns out our losses were minimal. We gained so much more with extra days on the almonds. The bees are strong and ready for spring splits. Time to build nucs and get some queens mated.

So far we've been around 85% on our splits taking. Was a crazy April.

If you get a chance to make a video of how the three jars of feeders on top of the hives works I would like to see that. Working my way through all of your videos. These are great. A completely different view of bee keeping than anything I have seen before.

We are using those feeders on our starter hives for queen cells. They need a lot of resources to make all that royal jelly. It was just an easy solution to get a lot of feed trickled on them. Had old lids to drill and plenty of jars from honey bottling. Just being resourceful. Thank you for watching and your support. I'm hoping to get more regular content flowing. April killed us.
