Great job sir, one of best videos ever on y-tube !!! Amazing how you even figured out the loose bolt was the problem ? you wouldnt mind saying what brand your digital inch pound torque tool was. and how much that john woods valve body was ? looks expensive :)
@brianblithe2271 Thanks for watching and enjoying the video. Please subscribe to the channel if you don't mind. So, the torque tool i believe it was Ac Delco. You can find it on Amazon and the Valve Body at that time I paid $267 from Riffraffdiesel.com it may cost a little more now. Thanks again.
Nevermind the check ball diagram I see its ATSG book. So the servo stays up in main valve body while you do this, your thought on replacing that ? Would it go right back in and stay up ?
Did your transmission make a whining noise as well as losing gear? I'm trying to figure out if this is my problem on the video or maybe my transmission pump is going out
Nice work. I'm surprised that there was no other comments on this video. You made this look real easy. I'm having an issue where I've lost my 2nd to 3rd shift. How is your install holding up now that it is a year later? I was kind of concerned with using vaseline to keep the check balls in place but it seemed to do the trick. Again nice work I may be doing this same job in a week or two.
Thanks man, some people don't appreciate the hard work it takes to work on a car and make a video a the same time, it's holding up good haven't had any problems at all and yes Vaseline works good for the check balls.
Hey brother, I’m having same issues with my 2nd to 3rd gear shift, was wondering how you ended up addressing the problem? I was getting ready to drop the valve body check the torque on those feed bolts…
I lost all my gears first to go reverse then all forward gears first gear will move but slips and shudders i just installed this trans mission oil was clean and no burnt smell was working one day next day reverse didnt engage until trany warmed up then it slowly engaged then third gear seemed to go out and come back think this mabe the issue any one got any advise i ordrerd the gaskets and before i dud anything i installed new filter kit and all new fluid 15 quarts no chunks of metal or filling just the normal you find on the magnet
You sir are a gentleman and scholar. Thank you for taking time to make this video.
@@MCoulter-ep3qf happy to help.
Thanks for the detailed instructions! I just repaired a 2002 F-250 using your video.
You're welcome. I am glad it helped you.

Just fixed my 2001 and used your video as part of my research. Thanks for providing such a great reference!
Thanks I did my best, glad it helped you.
Congratulations, great job
Thanks.
Very informative video. I don't have the problem but I like to keep up on such things. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
Thank you sir.
Thanks for the Video! So you could of just retorqued the feed bolts and that alone would have fixed your problem right?
@gabrielalvarez9570 Yes, retorquing the feed bolts fixes the problem, I replaced the valve body for better shifting, but it is not necessary.

@josephangelone1072 No noise at all, no warnings it just stopped going toward.
