If the black hole was going through the enemy fleet multiple times, why weren't the human ships that attacking that fleet affected?

It continues to bother me the way space combat is portrayed. We're talking about a VOLUME, not a plane, and all energy weapons have the speed of light as limitations and most will also be limited by the inverse square law. Physical weapons are severely time/range limited to the point that at any realistic spaceship speed they are practically useless. (Note our jets have the problem that firing bullets on the same path as the aircraft results in the aircraft shooting itself down because the bullets are slow and the jet runs into them.) (Note our Sun is some 480 light-seconds distant.)

To be fair, if there are FTL ships, then having only lightspeed weaponry is just lack of imagination by the writer. If forcefields are in play, and energy weapons, then you should get close to the enemy: well within under a lightsecond - and for reference, the Moon has average distance of 1.25 lightseconds from earth so even 10% of that is still damn hecking far for things that aren't the width of Australia in diameter and you need powerful sensors and computer assisted aim to hit anything.
Then you should be focusing on bringing the shield down even for a moment (possibly by using some slow-charging thing and if you're shooting through your own shields, possibly risking damage to them as well, unless you can flash them off and on quickly) and do an artilley concentrated fire type bombardment attack.
(And all of that is still with ignoring orbital velocities, which are 3D curves through space and get pretty hecking weird very fast.)
Naval battles where you can actually see the enemy ship with naked human eyes are stupid even on planetary surfaces. Having one in space is just for movies.
...I'd apologize for the rant if even this wasn't a vastly shortened version.
tl;dr: Space battle where organic brains have anything to do with it, whether in movement, firing solutions or decision-making, is a badly written space battle.

I find it irritating that pineapple on pizza is used as an example of somewhat bizarre behavior. I actually find it quite good - far better than sausage, and infinitely better than anchovies. Examples of truly bizarre behavior are eating ketchup and green chili sandwiches, hanging by the tips of one's fingers over a 1000 ft or so drop with no ropes or safety harness, or living in in any city with more than 30,000 population.

And to make it truly bizarre, some people who don't want pineapple on pizza (which, by the way, aside from being a fun tropical thing to add to what is essentially a heated flatbread, it's sweet and slightly sour, which nicely balances salt and umami flavours and makes the pizza taste less greasy too), are happy to put in peach or strawberry slices!
