Poisonous tiny spines that cause i tense pain for days or weeks. Enough pain that someone commited suicide to for relief. Box jellyfish the size of a peanut, can be fatal. Blue ringed octopus, can fit into a teacup, deadly, no antidote. Giant crocs, giant kangaroos that can rip you with claws. Ants, bees, etc. Yep, it's a death world alright.

This story is like doing eight years of collage to get a job in a corporation. Then finding out the guy from school that got an internship at that corporation after high school is now your boss. Plus he doesn't have a huge debt to payoff.

First - The alien that needs the chlorine atmosphere would NOT be casually walking around in an atmosphere where the doc and human are comfortable. Second - Instead of the lame scolding by the OTHER HUMAN nurse, perhaps an actual SCBA being available to deal with the toxic chlorine atmosphere? (Going back in without one would simply make him dead.) You didn't think this through with enough attention to detail. As a former HazMat Chemist, you really need to do better. For background on such things you might want to talk to the EHS people at your local University.
